nodak hockey fanatic
On an unrelated note...man Ovechkin is unreal. 46 goals at this point of the season. Man I remember when he was playing in the world junior tourney......that guy is unreal and Malkin ain't bad either. i remember the wjc at the ralph, and the canadians shut him down in the gold medal game. he was getting alot of hype and i was excited to see him play that game, but everytime he touched the puck, he had a body on him. i guess he learned how to adjust to that, because he is an animal out there now. with crosby out, he might be the runaway mvp. taking an average team, and willing them to win. i think he has two game winners already this week. but boy were the canadians stacked that year they shut him down.... crosby, getzlaf, pheneuf and many others im sure i am forgetting. It was Dion Phaneuf and Shea Weber that virtually shut him down that game, between them and Ryan Getzlaff hitting him, he disappeared. Mysterious shoulder injury caused him to miss the second and third periods, too, as I recall. I will say this, though, he and Malkin lit up Team USA in the semis! Diggler
I will say this, though, he and Malkin lit up Team USA in the semis! I remember he pulled that punk arse thing of skating into the USA zone after warmups and no one did anything about it. So before the Gold Medal game, the Canadians let it be known that if Alex tried that against them, Phaneuf was going to rearrange his face. Bob in Wisconsin
I didn't know T Hrkac was Concordia's coach. They was here recently playing uwsp. I'm not really up on UND history, guess next season I'll be watching for him. Guess I should have checked out this thread.
ScottM
Some comments about "face washing" from Zajac, and his recent scrum with Hatcher. Zajac ground the palm of his left glove into Hatcher
Sioux-cia
Porter article http://www.pjstar.com/stories/020808/RIV_BFMCJ3V1.W02.php Nice article. I can't wait to read about Chris and TJ playing together on the Blues! Seems odd that after Chicago lost their rights to him they started calling. Someone dropped the ball there. Big A HG
Nice article. I can't wait to read about Chris and TJ playing together on the Blues! Seems odd that after Chicago lost their rights to him they started calling. Someone dropped the ball there. I think Chicago was calling before the deadline, I just don't think Chris was answering any calls. Being a draft pick that played all four years in college, I think he wanted to wait it out and see what kind of options he had since he only had to wait over summer to become a free agent and to figure out what he wanted to do. I think it was the smart thing to do. Guys like Chris Porter are what make UND teams the way they are. Kaptain Kaip is doing a great job this year as well. Sioux-cia
I think Chicago was calling before the deadline, I just don't think Chris was answering any calls. Can that be done? I thought when they owned your draft rights and they wanted you, you had answer the 'call'.
Diggler
Can that be done? I thought when they owned your draft rights and they wanted you, you had answer the 'call'. You don't have to do anything. If you don't want to play for the team that drafts you, you simply have to wait it out for your draft rights to expire.
