Unless Parsons really struggles or gets injured, I can't see Leaman giving him much playing time except against some of the weaker HEA teams

We're all biased as UND fans but James fits the needs that you want in a 4th line player that can also be on your PK while also being on a cheap deal.

 

Only issue is Detroit has 20 million in cap space so they won't be squeezed like the Wild are to get under the cap

Thought it was interesting that James calls out Smaby and Jax improving the team’s offense. We could see it and how it was lacking dynamically the years before but was glad to see James specifically identifying the difference.

I agree.  He's not slippery enough for prospect lovers, but he could end up a perfect bottom six forward.  Above average speed, plays hard, and has good enough hands and shot to convert when the odd chance comes his way.
