superdupersioux Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I can't deny the Bison rolled up the yards today on the Goophs. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I predicted the Bison would pound it at 'em and the Gophers would spread and chuck it around and it'd be a wide-open shootout. I guess Goldie didn't get the memo. How bad are the Goldies? NDSU's Massey Strength of Schedule going into the weekend was 174. What'll it be Monday? Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I guess this will be the official congratulatory thread. Therefore: Congrats to the Bison. If the bison can transition so successfully, the Sioux should follow a similar track. Quote
soohockey15 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I wish Sioux fans would take enormous pride in beating a 1-7 team. NDSU beating the Gophs is akin to the Sioux beating Southern Utah. The Bison won against a team that they are better than. Period. Quote
Siouxman Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 That's what I think too, but don't try telling that to Bison fans. They want to believe that what they've done over the past few years is something special that we can't duplicate. The truth is that it isn't the Bison method either. They brought in outside help that had done it before and followed their advice. Nothing wrong with that, but the credit for their successful transition is only that the Bison followed good advice. GeauxSioux Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Congratulations to the Bison football team and fans. Quote
BigGame Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Thank you God for Tyler Roehl. He looked good, but I think the Bison man for man kicked the Gophers Arses. A running back doesn't get those yards without some pretty good blocking going on up front. Quote

They want to believe that what they've done over the past few years is something special that we can't duplicate. It is pretty special, but it can be duplicated or something very similar can occur anyway. No Gopher/Sioux football game for us. Quote

They want to believe that what they've done over the past few years is something special that we can't duplicate. As long as you have a coach who will do it the right way, you'll have no problem making the transition. The Sioux definately have that coach, so you won't have a problem. It's not just a good win for the Bison, its good for the Sioux as well. The Sioux definately have Bison fans respect and for those who don't think the Sioux would have an amazing battle with NDSU, they are just crazy. Quote
Bison Pride Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 More bragging rights for North Dakota. At least the Gophers can still brag dominance in water polo!! Quote
LeftyZL Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 What was the score of the UND UMD game? I'll let you know next Saturday, when the game takes place Quote
Tommy Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 guess I'm an idiot. Obviously I I didn't realize they had a bye. Quote
ScottM Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I hate to admit, that after all of the noise about 'su from the MSP media and the gophers camp, I was pretty glad to see Minnesota lose. Now, I have to go shower ... Quote
PCM Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Congratulations to the Bison. Last year, they won the game, but the score didn't reflect it. This year, the game and the score were in synch. Quote
Wilbur Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I'd also like to offer congrats to NDSU for the win. Like PCM said the score didn't reflect the game last year and this year was a little bit of redemption for them. The Bison proved that they are a much better football team than Minnesota, who is hands down one of the worst DI teams in the land. The gophers should be 0-8 as they should have lost that OT game to Miami of Ohio or whoever it was they beat in OT. Tim Brewster might as well be a used car salesman. I don't think he'll win any recruiting battles after this one. Congrats again to NDSU, although you guys should have won by three touchdowns... Quote
Bleed Green Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 congrats bison faithful ... I will now go delouse. Quote
bincitysioux Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Congrats to NDSU and their fans! WAY TO BEAT THEM DAMN GOPHERS!!!!!!!!! Quote
Blackheart Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 friggin Bison will schedule anyone so they don't have to play the Sioux! I don't know why they are getting so excited about beating Minnesota; almost everybody the Goofs play scores 30+ points and walks away with the W... Buck the Fison! Go Sioux! Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I wonder how Uncle Sid Hartman is going to spin this tomorrow on the Sports Huddle? I bet he and Dave Mona talk about Twins offseason crap instead (Who should we keep, Santana or Hunter?). Congratulations Bison, way to take it to the Rodents! Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 It is fun to read the Star Tribune, the gopher fans and Strib writers are tearing that program apart. Oh, the hockey articles aren't up yet (CC swept umn-tc) Quote
BisonBabe Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I would like to thank all the UND fans that were at the game cheering on NDSU. I hope that you did not have to deal with too many drunk Bison fans making rude comments. I and my family appreciate you being there along with us. May your transition go well. Maybe once all sides are ready to play nice (that includes all the fans) the games between our schools can resume. Quote
