There is never any interest in those sports around here. GF doesn't have a good track record either with semi pro sports.

big difference between trying it at the Ralph versus the old "civic auditorium" that was by the old muddy rivers downtown.

"there isn't anything to do in GF in the summer"...

people come up some ideas...."dumb ...no one would want that"

puzzlin'

If it's a great idea let Scheels Arena in Fargo go for it.

assuming this is the same rational behind not making the oly a dedicated practice facility for the redheaded stepchilds called bball and vball at und?

There's a plan to add a practice facility for that.

For someone so smart you don't know many of these things.

keep planing....more action.

renoing the oly would cheaper and quicker and fulfill the needs ofthe bball and vball in months...

dedicated practice.....years???? (it'll be perfect when we're in the nsic with bemidji tho)

We will see how the Spitfires do attendance wise this year.  IMO even though there is not much to do in GF in the Summer, residents don't care.  Once Friday Afternoon rolls around they are all off to the lake.  The town is dead on the weekends.

Maybe you and I know different people but the lake doesn't get replaced by anything happening in Grand Forks. Or if it does, it's a rare occurrence.
