I will say kudos to North Dakota for their season.  They were fun to watch.  I didn't expect them to be here with the off-season they had.  This team is young, has a lot of potential, and now I have confidence in next season.

Thank you to the seniors for another good season.

So did we get out coached

I think a little bit.  Obviously too early and too small sample size to know if it's a trend.  I think our youth showed.

I don’t think we were ready to play against an aggressive good team. Our schedule this year wasn’t the most difficult, especially non-conference. In conference we only played Denver and WMU twice each. Wisconsin came out and set the tone early and we couldn’t recover. We had enough power plays, one a 5-3 for 1:56 and we never came close to scoring against the 62nd ranked penalty kill. Unacceptable. Too many turnovers in the defensive end, and frankly we looked very slow at times going after pucks.  They really need to add a couple of true goal scorers for next season. I would like to get back to have a truly dominant top line.
While I think the program is headed in the right direction now, it is still a giant letdown that the season ends with this type of performance. Need to take advantage of these opportunities when they arise and it feels like we missed a big one.

Correct. Minnesota Duluth showed the blueprint and Wisconsin just did it better (at least arguably better)

I never thought any of our lines were truly dominant.  But there wasn't much drop-off from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4.

Dude, there are so many great coaches who aren’t from Section 8. Carle is the best in the country and he’s from f**king Alaska

Hoping Calgary tells Reschny to go back for one more year and whoever drafts Verhoeff (could be my Blackhawks) tells him to go back for another year

If they both come back, it could be scary good.

Both need another year to increase their offensive ceiling and round out certain defensive elements.

Maybe because I am older, or had managed expectations, but this loss doesn't hurt nearly as much as all those semi-final losses with Hakstol.

The main reason why this one hurts is because the pure/raw talent advantage was on North Dakota's side. Sadly, when your talent doesn't show up ready to make plays & handle pressure, you lose your advantage

Monday morning QB, but I think they missed out by not having Littler in the lineup.  Ollie showed some go, and nothing against Zakreski but thats where I would've put him.

Such a disappointing performance after a very consistently solid season. Weren't ready to go at puck drop and I think Wisconsin surprised the guys a little bit. Had the look of a team thinking we've been the better team all year, more skilled/talented so we just go out there and win but the energy and effort weren't there from the start. Overall just a very lethargic effort that really lacked the urgency you need this time of year. Really sloppy with the puck and slow to pucks, moving pucks, and really just making decisions. PP was absolutely atrocious. Missed a ton of net tonight and a couple very good opportunities couldn't convert on.

For me it is always easier to move on when you play a solid game and get beat than a game like tonight where you don't play close to your potential, those ones stick with you a while.

Hope Detroit gets one sooner rather than later
