The women's hockey championship has been dominated by Ohio State and Wisconsin for years now; not exactly breaking news.

I think UND beats Wisconsin; they are better up and down the lineup.

Denver will have a tougher time with Michigan, but they are more than capable of beating them.

 

The SEC and to some extent the ACC have been paying athletes long before NIL.  Now, NIL allows the rich B1G schools to play on even footing and the results are showing.  The Big Ten alumni base has long been known as some of the wealthiest and dedicated fanbases in the country as a whole, even for the lower end programs.  

That doesn’t mean the SEC or ACC won’t have any sort of success going forward, but the Big Ten is back to being the bully on the block.

Order of operation if we don't win it is Wisconsin, then Denver, then Michigan.  

I won't be overly devastated if its any of the three.  Its not like a year where Duluth is there and I'm all in on anyone but them.  If they played Minnesota in the nation championship the TV would just be off.

I also don't trash talk a rival after my team gets shutout. That happened to me following the Goofs losing 3-0 to Colorado College at the 2013 WCHA Final Five.

Are there bad UND fans? Sure there are (one of them got in trouble in Omaha in a playoff series). But I have never dealt with a fan base with more Richard Craniums than Minnesota's Crap on Ice.

I can't speak on Michigan's fans, as I haven't had much interaction with them.

Went to university about 15 minutes from Ann Arbor: it's a fairly big deal for hockey people in Southeast Michigan but doesn't have casual appeal outside of the hockey/Michigan diehards until or unless they're in the Frozen Four. Still very niche overall if you aren't already into hockey.

You have to think Dane keeps Kernan on the third line on Thursday, regardless of Ollie’s availability. Kernan has 16 points in his last 20 games. Ollie was great down the stretch too. I could see Kernan moving to wing with Ollie at center. Both are so underrated.

I’ve been watching UND hockey since  thru chicken wire, also Billet junior players off and on thru the years. One year we attended a game while one of our billet kids played against UND. My then 8 year old daughter was cheering for her half brother as she called him and was told to shut up swore at and told we need to sit somewhere else. It was a group effort of the people behind us. Nobody thought they were out of line. Got more stories but won’t bore you  with similar

For sure. This stuff only happens with UND fans. No other fanbase would ever do anything similar or nearly as bad. :tinfoilhat:

Wow, watching the NCAA basketball final Michigan was getting all the calls. I’m sure that’ll roll over into hockey as well.  Play disciplined boys…Go Sioux!
