Helps when you avoid NCHC teams in the bracket. Michigan St. Or Wisconsin will be in Frozen Four, but not sure if they are noticeably better than Penn St.

Maybe we should collectively send some updates to the marketing team, they can fill in the important gaps they missed with the aggravated assault charges, being on the ice for every goal against tonight, and that he picked Penn St for the obscene bag of cash, not to be a hero for the “little guys” who are doing their best to position themselves as underdogs. Hopefully even the east coast circle jerk voters can see beyond the hype machine.

Hopefully the Red Wings offer M. Plante so much money he can’t refuse to not sign with them 😂 . All kidding aside, it is honorable to play another season so he can play with his younger brother. Many people get lost in the money. We just need to learn how to play against them. Which to be fair, I don’t think many have.

If the Plantes were on a different team, Duluth would just attempt to injure them so that they didn’t have to face them.

They are the most vocal about Penn State losing. The have a history with Penn State being the reason their last two coaches were fired 🤣

Most of us have a deep dislike for UMD, mostly because they win titles, but I enjoyed watching them play last night.   They can play—and not just the Plantes.

I’m 50/50 on this. Definitely an obvious financial gain but now more and more people have mentioned they don’t really play a disciplined / structured game at all to get you ready for the pros. Even have been some talks that he could in theory go back to college but since he’s at Penn State there’s no point. He’s not learning many good habits so get him to the NHL is the thought process. Players / advisors are more wary of going there for their development than they were 1 year ago I’d bet.

I despise the sit back neutral zone trap they often went to last night. Don’t find their brand of hockey that enjoyable when they are doing that. Now is it probably a smart system? Definitely, but not what I’d choose to watch night in and night out

Penn State looked all flashy and skilly but no grit.  The Dogs out gritted them.  $700k didn't buy grit.

Read this morning that Sandelin is now 24-8 in the tournament and 12-0 in 1st round games. Pretty amazing
