Popular Post Wilbur Posted 15 hours ago Popular Post Posted 15 hours ago The Littler one is upsetting as a big kid would've been huge as a bottom 6 grind line guy with a nose for the hard areas. 1 5 Quote

.357 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Are coaches allowed to talk to players once they enter the portal to try & determine their reason for leaving or to see if they can change their mind, or not? (Especially the ones the coach is blindsided by & would like to keep) Quote

Is Jackson allowed to talk with him or any other players about why they want to leave or to try & prevent it, or not? Quote

Littler could elect to stay as well even after he entered the portal. 2 Quote

I'm sure Littler wants a top 6 role and Jax couldn't guarantee him that, with what we already have coming in and the silent commits from the CHL. 4 Quote

Some of these guys have to be realistic and know their role. On a good team you are bottom 6 and on a bad school you are top 6. They didn’t magically get better they just are better than what’s there. 1 Quote

No way, I could see top 9 Exactly and I would have to imagine both Klee and Littler when recruited were told where they would be in the lineup. I always saw Klee as the 4th line center from day 1 he was committed. I think Brock Schultz is the simple replacement there and already knows what his roll will be (4th line center and maybe PK). as15 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago It'll be interesting to see if the bottom six exodus is going to be a recurring thing. Looking at the projected top six for next year (Swanson, Reschny, Zellers, Josephson, Kernan, and Simpson). One Junior, four Sophs, one Freshman. Croal, Zakreski, and Menghini will for sure be in the lineup. At least two of them most likely on the third line. Neither of the Schultz's have a profile that suggests are going to supplant any of those nine forwards next year. Are 4th line minutes (at most, IMO) enough for them for one or two years? 1 Quote

It's hard because I really liked this group, but also with their current pipeline and their big strong freshmen class, something had to give. They need to get a little more balanced in grades and roles (they are young with a lot of bottom 6 type guys. I would look for things to start getting more stable in the next couple years This has been my favorite post since the portal opened. Quote
