A Gopher to UND is blasphemy and the world would be ending. And vice-versa

Does Blais count?
The Lamoureux twins?

Dude is listening to his toaster.

Haha, probably.
Hall from SCSU would be a good pickup for sure.
Haven't seen enough of Clark from UMN to know how he'd fit.

Pretty underwhelming for an Edina kid at Minnesota.

Are coaches allowed to talk to players once they enter the portal to try & determine their reason for leaving or to see if they can change their mind, or not? (Especially the ones the coach is blindsided by & would like to keep)

Yes, but listening to what coaches have said is they get contacted about if they would want said player if he was in the portal

I meant someone portaling out like Littler. Is Jackson allowed to talk with him or any other players about why they want to leave or to try & prevent it, or not?

Yes, for sure.
They can talk to them at any point.  Littler could elect to stay as well even after he entered the portal.

They all had their year end meetings over the weekend. I'm sure Littler wants a top 6 role and Jax couldn't guarantee him that, with what we already have coming in and the silent commits from the CHL.

I love Littler but top 6? No way, I could see top 9

Some of these guys have to be realistic and know their role. On a good team you are bottom 6 and on a bad school you are top 6. They didn’t magically get better they just are better than what’s there.

Exactly and I would have to imagine both Klee and Littler when recruited were told where they would be in the lineup. I always saw Klee as the 4th line center from day 1 he was committed. I think Brock Schultz is the simple replacement there and already knows what his roll will be (4th line center and maybe PK).

It'll be interesting to see if the bottom six exodus is going to be a recurring thing.  Looking at the projected top six for next year (Swanson, Reschny, Zellers, Josephson, Kernan, and Simpson).  One Junior, four Sophs, one Freshman.  Croal, Zakreski, and Menghini will for sure be in the lineup.  At least two of them most likely on the third line.  Neither of the Schultz's have a profile that suggests are going to supplant any of those nine forwards next year.  Are 4th line minutes (at most, IMO) enough for them for one or two years?

Keep in mind that this is the same account that posted that DuPont visited UMN on a day when he for sure wasn't visiting UMN.
So not sure if it is trust-worthy at all.

Getting called out in real time 🤣

Hard to fault any of these and we don't know how many are suggested/being pushed out. It's hard because I really liked this group, but also with their current pipeline and their big strong freshmen class, something had to give. They need to get a little more balanced in grades and roles (they are young with a lot of bottom 6 type guys.

I would look for things to start getting more stable in the next couple years

This has been my favorite post since the portal opened.

Top nine or bottom six.
