I see that Skyler Volmer has transferred to Dakota Wesleyan University. To me, this signals that she just wants to be close to home as it is very close to her home town.

i also see that Kiera Pemberton is transferring to University of San Diego. Not a bad team by any means, but certainly a step down from Baylor. Not sure if she overestimated her own stock when transferring to Baylor or not, but she likely pocketed a good bit of money while there.

 

NDSU seems to be retaining Schiller and almost the rest of their entire lineup. They seem to have things in order down there.

To me it signals that she wasn't a D1 player like the rest of the team. NDSU recruits D1 players. What's left of last years team for us wouldn't play a second at NDSU.

dwu was in the naia final four last year, dwu beat bismark state college by 40 holding them in the forties, und only beat bismark state by 9 while our stellar defense allowed 80, your theory is laughable, i dare hutter to put dwu on the schedule next year, und would lose gaurantee ya

BSC got considerably better as the season went on.  They were missing players I believe.  So your comparison is not accurate.  Yes it is still embarrassing UND was in a battle with them.  I still stand by my statement she is NOT a D1 player !  Either are the rest of the team including whoever your daughter is.

Ava miller was not our best player on the team and I have serious doubts she would have been our best player coming this year.  She might have become that player but she has some serious weaknesses in her game that she needs to work on that being play defense that doesn’t get her foul trouble. She will definitely be better at South Dakota she will not be  the star but complimentary piece but it will be interesting see how she grows. South Dakota has had more transfers than North Dakota but it will be interesting see how she fits in down there.  I also have serious doubts that her moving again I think it will set her back and I think she will not get year like she did this past year where she got significant minutes playing. if she had been playing with more competition for playing playing time if she struggles again like this year she will be sitting more with limited minutes. We didn’t have another player push her but South Dakota will  they are farther along in there rebuild and have more infrastructure and support provided for women’s sports.
This coming year I hope we can now find couple of players with these last transfers that can be added that can provide immediate help but all schools are looking to do this. The bottom line is SDSU and NDSU are going to dominate conference coming year with South Dakota and St. Thomas probably filling out top four with other four schools all in process of rebuilding but will be in lower iranks of college basketball division 1 level. Right now Summit is controlled by two schools who have invested in programs and have had stability in coaching .

The reality is there is no player on this team that is huge loss. The Miller girl is certainly no star. Average at best but a  lot of her game is below average. .

She is not a great loss but of what we have left that played she was the best.  The rest of the team should have jumped in the portal or pushed into it by Hutter.  Which player from last year thats left is better then Ava ?

she received interest from 50 or more schools, from the east coast to the west coast FGCU to Pepperdine, Big East Conference Butler, she turned down power four rev share offer from Wake Forest, the ACC doesn't offer average and write them high dollar rev share checks, she turned them down to play closer to home so family could come to all the games, its laughable that 50 coaches reached out to average, shows exactly what the typical fan knows, jack crap nothing... after Miller passed on wake forest they offered their next choice the roster spot a former UND offer Swanson, average, u know nothing about how good someone is, wake forest don't throw money at average, usd got a steal when Miller picked them over Wake Forest, FGCU, Butler, Boise St... Boise State kicked our ass, i think their  coach knows what average looks like and they wanted Miller on the team, hardly average

My guess is zero. She averaged 3.5 ppg against the coyotes this year. She’ll have stiff competition for playing time.

Schools showing interest and offering are 2 different things. Your daughter was mediocre at best most of the year. And I saw most of the games. Apparently the people that contacted you and your daughter must of watched the wrong game.  She was very much the part of a bad team.
