Ooof, Reschny was pushed but he made sure to go through the goalie.

While I would’ve been happy for Reschny, Verhoeff, and MacKenzie if they got gold…at the end of the day it is a delight to see Canada lose to see their obnoxious fans cry.

My hate goes: Russia, Canada (mainly their fans acting like they are the champs all the time), USA (when they make dumb decisions), after that I like to see the little guy win.

He has a reputation of showing up in big games.  Wonder what his faceoff numbers are at to this point in the tourney.  He was at about 75% at one point.

They didn’t show his mom after that.  I swear they showed her more than they used to show Doug Flutie when BC was in the National tournament years ago.

You know if Mike Johnson didn’t argue the call, that Reschny could have backed off some.  Really it was a no win to not hold up because it was too late in the game to send a message, any goal off the pileup would have been overturned, and taking a chance that the refs wouldn’t call it because of the game situation was a huge risk.

Did they stick with changing Reschny’s first goal to Parekh?  It sure look like it bounced off Reschny.

Mike Johnson is the ultimate homer there is. TSN should never have him do the WJC again

He does well against lower-tier opponents but hasn’t mastered doing well against a higher-level opponent. I’d take Reschny over him any day of the week. One performs well when it matters most and the other doesn’t quite do that. Comparing the two may not be fair given their age difference, but let the record show I’m in favor of our guys

Looking at the first PS, that wasn't going in even with the dive to get a redo.

Proud of the showing of all our UND boys this tourney, despite none of them bringing home the gold.
Zellers and Reschny were both offensive leaders for their teams, and Emery/Verhoeff both seemed to play well despite limited ice time.
MacKenzie will be a special one.

Now...hopefully Bryn and Dane closed the deal on another one or two big ones while attending.

2 Unbelievable hockey games last night.  Unfortunate for Canada to lose their composure, but understand how much it means to those kids as well.  Gotta remember their passionate young men and this is their dream since they laced them up...live and learn.
