If we could save some of the goals and use them tomorrow that would be great

Yeah, would rather consistently score a power play goal or two every game, rather than 0fer in a bunch of games then go wild in one.

Late to the party here but did Omaha go and crap in their own mess gear those last 7-8 minutes of the game? I’d love to know what got the one Omaha player a misconduct. And man, that was a big time elbow that other Mavericks player laid on our guy. Did he launch himself on that elbow??

Strinden keeps it rolling:

Quote

"I think everyone on the team wants the stick he has right now," James said. "He's put in so much work. I've been with him since freshman year, so I've witnessed it. It's finally paying off for him."

Livanvage said: "Can't miss right now. We need a guy like that. He's stepping up big time. We knew at the beginning of the year that he was going to be special for us, and he's more special of a human being. It's great to see him having the success he's having right now."

UND coach Dane Jackson added: "He's hot. He's playing with pace. He's playing with a lot of confidence right now. He's powerful. He's always been a guy who can really skate and shoot. It looks like he's playing with more poise, holding on to pucks and his shot is elite. It's nice to see that all coming together."

Omaha was gassed not even halfway through the third. Frustration set in after the Spoonman made a few really nice saves. The Elbow was clearly to the head, but it didn’t look that severe. The guy didn’t swing his arm, just got too high. Honestly, there should have been a slashing penalty immediately after James scored his second goal. He took a chop to the back of the legs while celebrating.

So does anyone know what Marcus Nguyen did to receive not one but two 10-minunte misconducts? Brad didn't indicate in his article. I wonder if he will be wearing a suit tonight.

I thought it would have been called a spear

Hopefully UND comes out ready to play. You know UNO is gonna be ticked after their horrible 3rd last night. They had their chances, but Spunar made some good saves. So hard to sweep in this league. UND def looked like the more talented team, they just need to play like it again tonight.

Pretty much.

UND clearly has more depth, but do they have the focus & drive to be able to sweep is another question altogether. Of course they want to sweep, but the jury is still out if they have the mental toughness to do so. Good teams split; very good/great teams find ways to sweep.

If Homer fumbles again, IMO you have to stick with Spoons from here on.
We'll see.

I don't mind a rotation, but Jan looks better, and they should have rotated starting game 1. Homer needs to use his size and not play like a smaller goalie (JPL and Karl).

Spoonman has ice in his veins.

Do not understand the logic with not playing the hot goalie. If someone's playing exceptional, there is no reason to disrupt the flow.

Agree, but if you look at the goals against Duluth, a lot of those were almost impossible.  Even last night, there were times Spunar was way out of the net on several occasions, but the difference was that the other team didn’t have the puck to put into the net.  Probably would just stick with Spunar though, as the players have played well in front of him.  After losing to NDSU in football, I hope this isn’t an all around crappy day, that often seems to be the case.

Agreed. Tons of pressure on Homer to win, whereas Spoon is clearly feeling it.
