Could have swept them but didn’t show up.

Showed up, but when one of your leaders puts you behind the eight ball early, then continues to take selfish penalties, you can’t hope to gain momentum.

They looked good against st thomas, but the schmaltz highlight they just showed makes me think I haven’t seen any high end moves yet from anyone this year. Our supposedly best in the country D has been burned about 15 times this weekend in transition. Offense was a general concern going into this year I thought and idk how that has been put to bed by Sioux sports by beating st thomas when it’s clear at least to me that being down 3-1 with 10 left in the third means game over

You immediately lose credibility when you claim no offensive talent. The gophers are a good team. They play their game fairly well. Sioux didn’t play well, tonight.

Just one guys opinion. How you see it?

We know St. Cloud fans don’t have a lot of hockey knowledge.  You’re not fooling anyone.

Still a bummer of a defeat but gotta give Minnesota credit. They responded very well from Friday’s game. The opportunity was there but c'est la vie. Team has to learn from this and be ready against a Clarkson team that looked decent against Penn State.

I agree that gophers played well and we didn’t, but I’m not sure if the gophers are any good they’ve already lost to Michigan tech who I still think of as the doormat. This teams offensive prowess at a minimum is unproven so idk how questioning it could be considered incredible

I think Jax said it best.  Where was the passion in their game?

-Goaltending can't give up #2 and #3.

-Strinden can't take 3 penalties.

-Livanavage wasn't his normal self.

-Did we have a grade A look the entire game?

-Power play was.....yeah....

We knew there would be growing pains.  We didn't play the little sisters of the poor.

Overly solid weekend. A split is fine against MN. Sucks that we outplayed them for long stretches without much O. PP needs serious work. There was a decent amount of good this weekend too. Team should be fairly solid come March. Verhoeff played his best all around game, today he lived up to the hype.

The young guys need to understand that when you beat a team on Friday night, that team will come out harder on Saturday night to avoid getting swept. Lesson learned (I hope).

This loss is way less damaging than Denver's loss last night to Lindenwood.
