Yes.  He led the Memorial Cup champ Rangers in both points and goals this year.
Finished ahead of UMN recruit Humphreys on the team.
He was originally committed to BU but I'm not sure what happened there.

With him it's especially tough given his dad is an NHL exec and we have a reputation for being a good landing spot for kids with NHL family ties. The Leafs GM's son committing to DU is interesting given the Carle rumors being shot down.

His dad is no longer with the Leafs.

Larson has plenty of room for DuPont with Begley still rostered and at the moment I don't think Maceo Phillips has removed the M yet.  That being said, he's revamped the D core big time since last season and he needs to improve the C position badly.  

The Tarin Smith connection, the Larson and his old man connection amongst other things (GF as dumb as that sounds we all know that power of the____).  

The "new" college hockey is bonkers, but stuff like this to follow is actually kind of fun.

And I'm not saying specifically him. Just thought we would wait but like I said maybe Davis was one we targeted? And hope he proves to be a gem!

Pridham struggled quite a bit during the OHL playoffs from what I heard on the Athletic pod. Had a couple of games where it sounded like he was getting 5 minutes per game because he wasn't effective whatsoever.

 

Based on that report not very bummed about missing out on him. (Now Command and Lars Steiner I'm a little bummed about, but the staff pursued them but they signed pro deals. It happens)

Off topic a bit, how does an NHL team have 6 GMs when most have 2 maybe 3 at most. And they wonder why they can't win in the playoffs lol

Hopefully once all commits from prior to Chyzyk coming aboard are either on campus or going elsewhere they take can advantage of this more.

The new 5 in 5 may draw out MJ accepting its new place in the development pyramid now that the older and more experienced players touted as college hockey's biggest advantage won't be as prevalent. Brad and the rest of the college hockey pundits said it was only a matter of time until they came to terms with it, but who knows now.

NHL is secondary to NCAA puck for me, so I might be off base here, but it seems like nobody ever thrives there and then wind up doing better elsewhere.

They need an owner who is Harold Ballard Esque, he was the last owner for them to win a cup. It is a case study on how you are better on a different team than the Maple Leaf's. I hope Stecher goes to a better team.

I was looking at their front office last year and didn't see how they had a GM for everything. Instead of a GM and AGM (runs the AHL team) or a GM, AGM, and AHL GM. They have a GM and 5 AGMs,

Doesn’t get any more scary than the run they have been on with minimal first round talent.  Who knows if that would work as well, especially if they end up with a few one and dones.

The one shocker from Scott's article is that Cameron Reid apparently hasn't committed to a school yet. (Jeff Marek had said he was going to Michigan a few months ago but maybe that fell through?)

Mews can adequately fit at 1D as the offensive right shot. Seems like I'm the only one who remembers how awesome he was to start last year before he got cheapshotted and taken out for the rest of the season at Notre Dame.

 

That being said, DuPont and Mews on the right side would be incredible for them.

Here’s hoping that DuPont stays at Everett one more year to go for another chance at the MemCup and we can get him, England, Fitzy, and the Rucks in one super recruiting class.

Just seems like North Dakota has price points they're not going to go above for NIL, which is the unfortunate reality

Medicine Hat coach is 69 year old Willie Desjardins who has been heavily responsible for the Rucks' development. It would be very interesting if he was planning on retiring after next season and the Ruck twins wanted to return for one more go-round.

Or is it? Do we want the guys that are mainly choosing a school because of the price point if we continue getting the Verhoeffs, Reschnys, and Carels of the world?

I’m fine with the latter, even if I wish they had unlimited resources. I trust Bryn and staff to judge character independently from going-price if it comes to that. But nothing wrong with a player knowing their value either.

That said, if Denver really is in the mix, I don’t see the race for DuPont being a pure bidding war. Hopefully rumors that these players are going to the highest bidder doesn’t become the new “we didn’t want him anyway”, because winning and player development alongside relationships and trust with family, advisor and drafting team will still outweigh NIL in most cases.

We were the only school possibly in the mix that has a 1st round pick on the right side that we'd have to push down to the 3rd pair / play on their off side. Put us behind the eight ball compared to MSU and Michigan unfortunately. Just how the timing worked out with who was in our system heading into next year. Think the staff was upfront about if he was coming here the ice time was going to be pretty spread out and that likely took us out of the running.

I would assume that would be for both DuPont and Rudolph?
