For the first game of the season, a team's performance can be a mixed bag, especially when facing an opponent that has already played a game. Kansas State had the opportunity to work out its early kinks.

It's promising to see good effort and coaching, despite the jitters and mistakes. These are common in a season opener and can be corrected quickly as the team gets more comfortable. Those positive signs and the opportunity to learn from mistakes suggest a solid foundation for the rest of the season.

Based on that, it definitely looks like a team with a future this year. What aspects of UND's performance are other posters seeing?

Defense is improved we are just playing against a guy who will be a top 5 draft pick, we are talented but they are a bit bigger and faster. The oc is doing is werid awful play calling again happened multiple times last year, needs to figure it out.

If you followed me...I predicted exactly how the game would go to a T....I saw the decline of the QB play before it happened.

I knew the probably of his "average play" from what we saw the first half, was likely very low.
