If it's Jackson, I will root for him and the team like always. But if he doesn't have a plan to turn this around, we'll be having this conversation again in a couple of years

brother, we've been on here together for a ton of years, and I respect you- shocking actually we never met in person at a F4 or F5...probably walked past each other : )   I know exactly what you're saying, and God knows I hated certain fans wearing other colors at times...but don't you miss being there at the top every year even if we didn't win it all.  We were there.  Eye of the Tiger.  Could've done it.  RIght there....

The USCHO podcast guys had some interesting takes, including the idea that coaches may think twice before applying for this job if a guy who won a natty, five conference titles and a conference tournament title, and never had a losing record in ten seasons was dumped.

…and how many of those guys hate UND, and would love to see them flounder in the tournament for another decade.  Do they think UND being tied or behind teams like Bemidji, Air Force, St. Cloud, and the rest of the teams on this list is what UND fans should expect?  Probably, because they hate us.  The fact that all these guys are backing Berry up, while they absolutely hated Hakstol tells you all you need to know.

Yes, I miss being in the mix in March and April. And I hope we nail this hire so we can get back to those days.

I'm just frustrated right now. There are so many challenges in college athletics and I really don't want UND to fade away into the yellowed pages of history. Nothing personal towards you or anyone else here; it's just disheartening to see what's happened to UND athletics.

The respect is mutual, btw.

It’s definitely fair. Natty’s are #1 in my book, and I can’t fathom an alternate opinion. I don’t care if UND has great team after great team, but none ever get the Natty, what fun is that?

It doesn’t matter if guys who have never coached or played at the college level don’t think he can recruit or that his Augie creds aren’t sufficient. When multiple NHL guys who played for him highly endorse him, I take notice. He is highly qualified and I would bet a nice donation that he would be successful. 
Having said that, I don’t know if he is interested and it doesn’t seem to me that UND would reach out so maybe it’s a moot point. 
Denver hired a guy a few years ago that a lot of folks didn’t think much of other than he looked a bit like Opie (or maybe Howdy Doody).  That seems to have worked out ok. There are a number of other great choices others have discussed, so hopefully whomever it is, they will be successful.

I didn’t call you stupid. I said you posted stupid stuff. I really don’t care what you call me but if you can’t read a post correctly, I don’t need to comment further. 
I don’t know that I’m high on anyone. I just listed a couple of NHL guys who were impressed with him as a coach, and tried to point out he has some impressive credentials.

The problem is we haven’t and we won’t be getting them. Need to do what Barr has done at Maine. Get guys to believe in one and other and build team chemistry. We have used the portal way too much and it’s showing it’s not working. Too much turn over. Need to start trusting the guys we recruit even if they are on campus maybe a year early, because if they are as good as we think they are they shouldn’t be here long anyway.

Just finished reading the last few pages of “fun” and just really thought this spelling of UND was awesome and made me LOL.
