brianvf Posted Friday at 07:29 PM Posted Friday at 07:29 PM Schloss covers a lot of the longterm injuries that have hit many programs this season already: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/schlossman-major-injuries-become-a-big-storyline-in-college-hockey Also covers the Ollie situation a little: Quote Not many players took as much grief for leaving the Canadian Hockey League for college hockey as UND's Ollie Josephson. Josephson's own general manager in Red Deer told The Pipeline Show that it "isn't a good move for Ollie" and said "he's certainly not going to be a top player on their team." UND coach Dane Jackson and general manager Bryn Chyzyk disagreed. They were thrilled to pick up a commitment in August from the former Red Deer captain. Josephson, a fourth-round pick of the Seattle Kraken, has proven he's more than ready to play college hockey. He had four points last weekend against a top-10 team and was named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference's rookie of the week. Josephson was used in nearly every situation for UND last weekend — 5-on-5, power play, penalty kill, 6-on-5 and 3-on-3. Few freshmen in the country are playing in all situations like Josephson. 4 Quote
hawksfan12 Posted yesterday at 12:39 AM Posted yesterday at 12:39 AM Am I the only who who has noticed a lot of teams will mock the UND fan finger point in air thing (when Chelsea Dagger is played) when they score against? I've seen a lot of teams doing it the last few years (both in the NCHC and out of conference). Quote

Sioux90 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago North Dakota is currently 5th in the KRACH and would likely be placed similarly in the NPI. Outside of the Clarkson game, I’d say its been a success so far. All things considered. 1 Quote

UND is currently 7th in NPI Just FYI Minnesota is 44th 😁 CC at 35th is the worst ranked team in the NCHC 1 Quote

brianvf Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago UND is the opposite of UMD this season. UMD is a one-line wonder...UND killing it with depth: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/friday-rewind-unds-scoring-balance-is-giving-opponents-fits?fbclid=IwY2xjawN8dvhleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBicmlkETFnT3QwYnp4VnhTMkM0SnFHc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHnEbEZ8EY4jcBMAeg1gshiZmGrMwwieBUJy2D971pMaeJKZbxRxHia-Cdy7R_aem_2hytdLC2mmKiY_w754JDdA Quote UND has scored 35 goals through the first nine games of the season. It is the highest number of goals UND has scored through nine games since the 2019-20 team, which went 26-5-4 and was No. 1 in the Pairwise Rankings when the season was canceled due to the pandemic. Quote UND is averaging 3.9 goals per game, tied for fifth nationally. The offensive surge isn't coming from one spot, though. The Fighting Hawks are giving their opponents fits with their third and fourth lines, who are routinely creating mismatches. UND has just one player in the top 50 nationally in scoring right now. It is third-line winger Ben Strinden, who has 12 points. Quote

AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I understand that it's early but Michigan State and LIU having almost the same NPI with records of 5-1 and 3-5 shows how important your non-conference scheduling is. Augie > Bemidji 1 Quote
