Asking what his slant will be on specific issues? Und already pays companies to keep negative stories from appearing in search engine results. It’s still not the end all be all. Go sioux What companies are they paying and how much? show me the money Quote

Go sioux I think your tinfoil hat might be on a little tight this weekend. Paying search engine companies to not publish negativity. Even you probably can't beleive you typed that 🤣🤣 1 1 Quote

It’s obvious schloss has a small group of fans. Schloss is a good writer. Sadly, he feels the need to compromise his standards. But he’s allowed access to players, coaches, etc…big deal. As readers, we’re getting run of the mill stories. The real measure of the popularity & success of a writer is readership. Circulation/subscription #’s are the key for newspapers. Neither of these factors guarantee that a beat writer will have a successful column. So, does he have a few hundred loyal readers? A thousand? No, i cant be a better writer than schloss. No, i dont feel he lacks ability. No, i dont think he’s lazy. One last thing, i know he’s gotten recognition for his columns. This wont make a beat writer more popular or influential. Schloss, give us your best. Go sioux It’s getting harder and harder for me to tell if your account is parody, trolling, or just confused. Schloss has over 28K followers on Twitter. I’m not sure there’s a single journalist that focuses on only college hockey that is followed that heavily. If there is, please find me one. Mike McMahon might be one of the others but he’s at about 14k. It’s been said already but I’ll say it again: he has to toe the line closely because if he crossed the line we run the risk of having less access. And we are one of the only teams in the country that had a beat writer exclusively for their team. We are legitimately spoiled 3 10 Quote

Schloss is the UND hockey reporter for the Grand Forks Herald. Granted, he covers other sports in the offseason (Racing, Tennis, Football, and other things when needed). There are a fair number of teams that don't send writers. The Forum Communications might be an exception. I remember Oliver Francis working for a team that didn't send their beat writer to the Ralph for a non-conference series. 3 Quote

I have complained to the hockey writer and he says talk to his editor. The coverage is very sketchy. Quote

This would stop most of the "mercenary recruiting" that is taking place right now. 6 Quote
tnt Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Since everything is getting to be more like pro sports anyway, the team losing a player if it is of the players volition should get some compensation. 1 Quote

I like this idea, but then the team that loses a player is likely going to be grabbing someone else from the portal to fill the hole in their line-up (or be faced with a very young line-up). Never ending cycle. Quote

Wishful thinking, but if that happened, then less portal transfers would find a home making it an even bigger gamble to enter. Honestly don't know what can be done, but it would be nice if it became a less common occurrence. Maybe with the addition of Major Junior players, more transfer guys might get left out in the cold. That's sorta already happening, but it's more in the form of the below average depth players at programs across the country being cut to make room for CHLers. Not sure how many guys are willingly leaving their school without having a couple options lined up already. Quote

Playing for one team while in talks with another team for the following year. Even PJ Fleck would have a hard time Rowing the Boat in the same direction. 2 Quote
