F Berry.  Oops.  Boo Berry I mean.  Ugly weekend.  Lucky to not be swept. When will he be held accountable?

I mean the Auggie loss was bad but I don’t think we need to complain until a loss in the playoffs which hopefully doesn’t happen this year

Maybe Hak is in the background providing some team building tips that pay dividends later?

Hak is in the background. Back living in Grand Forks and even at the games this weekend. Maybe he wants his old job back…..

They should have been swept.  Just stinks because you feel that if they make it to regionals, they are one and done. That’s per history with Brad Berry and staff at the helm.

UND is 2-2 , too early to draw that conclusion . But if it happens many will agree. Just give this team time to gel

That assumes we make playoffs. Under Berry that is not a given. Under Berry if they don’t lose in the first round of the playoffs it’s because they didn’t qualify for the playoffs.

When did Berry abandon the puck cycling game along the boards? That use to be a Sioux hockey staple. Move the puck constantly. These teams of late, seem to want to be rid of the puck immediately after entering the o zone. Usually that leads to a turnover. The forecheck hasn’t quite been there in recent years.

If we don't have an identity, teams have a harder time game planning against us.

Would he be allowed to be a volunteer coach in some capacity, like at practice & press box?

Was it the 2018/2019 season we had so much trouble scoring goals? Out play teams, have the puck in the opposition’s zone for inordinate amounts of the game, yet struggled mightily to score.

Couldn't watch, but reading the game story everyone quoted says they played well but didn't break the seal. Begrudgingly confirmed, or vehemently denied?

Played well but scored 1 even strength goal this weekend against a middle of the road team.  Not buying it.

They did it in the second against Providence - I like that team

No, when they allowed the extra paid coach, the volunteer was no longer possible, hence Jason Ulmer not getting to remain to help with faceoffs.

Hakstol's teams were generally not that great before Christmas, but built from there, but just couldn't finish it off.  I remember when people mocked the gophers for being a great October, November team, and now our season is over because they didn't produce offensively on the weekend?   I think this team has more room for growth than last year's, simply because they have more really young freshmen that hopefully can make a big impact the second half of the year -- Boisvert, Swanson, and Emery.

Expect an even more spirited purple cow performance tonight.

If UND isn’t ready it’ll get run out of the barn.

Satisfied or hungry.

 We shall see.

Mankato may end up being a much better team than predicted. And I am not going to overreact to a game in October (it is a long season).

That being said, this is the type of inconsistency that dooms you in the playoffs.

They have plenty of time to fix this.

But the sooner the better.
