brianvf Posted Thursday at 10:05 PM Posted Thursday at 10:05 PM Boisvert is no stranger to putting on the foil. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/sacha-boisvert-grew-up-hanging-around-boxing-gyms Quote "A lot of guys my age walked around NHL rinks and their dads played in the NHL," Boisvert said. "As a 2-year-old kid, I was walking around a boxing gym, seeing people beat each other up." Boisvert's father, Jimmy, runs a boxing gym in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. Quote "He's ultra competitive," UND coach Brad Berry said. "Ultra competitive. He's not afraid to make a play. If he makes a mistake, he moves forward and he's not afraid to make that next play, just having that no-fear approach and that highly competitive nature we love to have here at North Dakota." Quote Boisvert's boxing days aren't completely over. UND put up a punching bag and a speed bag for Boisvert in the weight room. 1 Quote

cberkas Posted Saturday at 04:44 AM Posted Saturday at 04:44 AM With how Omaha has been playing that series to end the season could be a big "Boo Berry Series". I can see Omaha pulling off a sweep. Quote
SIOUXELEVENS Posted Saturday at 04:57 AM Posted Saturday at 04:57 AM It’s time Berry, you have not done well with your culture. Time to move on and not completely run this program into the ground. At the end of the day your not getting it done. 1 Quote
scpa0305 Posted Saturday at 02:05 PM Posted Saturday at 02:05 PM Starting to look like pretty dicey. That was a terrible meltdown last night. I doubt they can recover at this point. Decent squad on paper…can’t seem to gel. Quote

thUNDer Posted Saturday at 02:57 PM Posted Saturday at 02:57 PM Berry uses up all the gel prior to the squad hitting the ice. Not good, this team not gelling with coaches decisions 1 Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted Sunday at 10:40 PM Posted Sunday at 10:40 PM Is the pairwise fair? Is it the best way to determine rankings? Sometimes I have my doubts. A team at the beginning of the year can be very different than at the end. Quote

I would take this over what they have in football and basketball. 2 Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted Sunday at 10:52 PM Posted Sunday at 10:52 PM I don’t like the pairwise. Especially when it works against us! should add that there always needs to have a human subjective element that just pure numbers can’t replicate Quote
Siouxdaddy Posted Sunday at 11:47 PM Posted Sunday at 11:47 PM Anyone hear anything about Louis? Doing some digging and nobody is saying much Quote

And I'm saying this fully knowing UND would benefit from a human element, just look at the USCHO rankings. We were 26th or something in the pairwise and 16th in the rankings last week. 2 Quote

It would get filled with old east coast guys like Bob Norton (remember him from the ESPN U selection shows back in the day?) who pretend that western hockey doesn't exist. This would lead to pure misery. PWR isn't perfect, but it's the best we've got. The only computer ranking system that may have some merit beyond the Pairwise is the KRACH. 3 Quote
