Which member of the CBS Line in 2016 is Blake better than today?

Better than Boeser was? Schmaltz? Caggiula?

Their games were NHL ready.

Can we say that about Jackson?

And his last second hijinx against Michigan only helps serve the point.

It is really difficult to say because Blake doesn't have Boeser or Schmaltz to play with. Jackson Blake is very talented and put up 60 points this year as a sophomore with a lot less help. Boeser put up 60 points in 42 games as a freshman in 2015-2016, Caggulia put up 51 points in 39 games as a senior, and Schmaltz put up 46 points in 37 games as a sophomore. I'm not saying he's better than Boeser or Schmaltz, but he's very offensively gifted and arguably is better than Drake Caggiula.

If your point is that Jackson Blake is not NHL ready, I agree. He needs to get stronger and work on his defensive game. He is not bad defensively, but you have to play defense first in the NHL unless you have offensive talent like Patrick Kane.

I'd say he does some things better than any of the three.  But he's physically much less ready than any of them for playing against guys who are made of stone.  He's most similar in build to Caggiula, but younger and not filled out yet.  The other two had sturdy NHL frames, which he'll never have.

Clearly not a graduate of the Tyler Kleven School of the Reverse Check.

Isn't that sometimes referred to as the Jack in the Box?  I remember Ben Blood doing that to a St Cloud player and getting 2 minutes in the sin bin.  I bet it was worth it.

Jackson is lanky compared to his father who was more fireplug.

Stuff that would bounce off Jason puts Jackson on the ice.

Correct.
Get low, wait for contact from behind, spring up into it both surprising the "attacker" and giving them the worst of the contact.

Jackson both missed the Woofie and caught a skate in the ice and fell back over his own right knee. Can't find it but TwiX had an image of Blake flat on his back but with his right skate boot under his right butt-tocks*, toe pointed away from body.

Tyson Jost left after one season and struggled mightily when he was sent to the Avalanche after signing. Blake will likely get buried in the AHL and may never get more than a cup of coffee in the big leagues.

I disagree. I think he could play…staying another here would help I believe.

Didn't he do it to the guy that took out Genoway?

Thanks @Benny Baker for finding that image.

You can't tell me that knee is in a good way right now.

Blake made a dumb move and got that. Much room to mature.

I'm thinking the same.  Hope he's okay though.

Made the same comment to the group of people I watched the game with---Blake took and run and may have injured himself into playing one more year at UND.

The silence that you hear about it tells me there's probably more smoke than fire... but you would have probably heard something from just things around campus percolating about.

But... if that's me in the pic, no amount of red light therapy gunna put me back together.

summbody write that code a bit extra in the dark green zone.

That variable will not require a long much less a double. Likely a short.

Wood / Wilkie / Pohlkamp

Sounds like we are in the running for all three.  But I'd be happy if we are able to land one of that group.
Each would fill a need for the 24/25 team.

No word on any UND players entering the portal or early departures as of yet...figure if that happens, we'll start to hear some rumblings soon.
