Looking at the injury report makes you wonder about these Thursday games.  Darrisaw and O'Neil both questionable.  Jones may play, but likely won't, Ham out, Van Ginkel out, Scott questionable.  If Mason gets dinged then Cam Akers is the starting RB.

Only thing worse than watching the Vikings lose is watching the Vikings lose with Wentz on the QB.  Never thought I could hate the guy more.

I'm done with the Vikings.   As long as they keep playing that loser Wentz I'm cheering for whomever they're playing.   Wentz is not mobile enough, he can't even get rid of the ball before he's sacked constantly.   Bring on a different QB.

Wentz is terrible but McConnell’s play calling doesn’t help. Someone, anyone else needs to take over that job. It’s been obvious for some time that he has no clue.

Kwesi has shown so far that he doesn’t know what he’s doing drafting. The Vikings draft classes as a whole have been very underwhelming with little talent to show for it. They’re one of the older teams in the league and way over the salary cap for next season. They need to get a lot younger but don’t because they can’t draft. Kwesi needs to go and they need to get someone in there that can put a few good draft classes together.

State of the purple:

-Defense is soft, got pushed around up front and in the secondary.

-Seems like JJ will play next week at Detroit?  If not it very well could be Brosmer because Wentz is hurt.  Brosmer not getting in sooner tonight tells the world what the coaches who know more about football than I ever will know think of Max Brosmer.  Think Zimmer and Kellen Monde scenario.    

-KOC needs to hand off play calling.  Just let it go.  You aren't McVay, you just aren't.  Third and short....pass...  Second and long....run....to set up third and long with a terrible line.  

-Turner may be a bust.  Will see about JJ shortly.  

I'm starting to see that KOC is starting to lose some of the fanbase.  Maybe it started with the last two games last season, but things aren't so rosy for him.

Vikes get the ball back with about 7 minutes to go and they bring Wentz back out as QB.  The game is already decided and Wentz is obviously in pain; why not let Brosmer take over?  Don't understand their thought process.

One of the Vikings problems has been the o-line play and all the injuries. That is definitely a problem but I can’t let O’Connell completely off the hook for it. Probably the biggest injury was to Darrisaw last season which he still has not been able to completely overcome. He is missing a lot of time this year due to that knee injury. This injury occurred in mid season last year against the Rams. The Vikings had the ball inside their own 3 yard line with about 30 seconds left in the first half of a tie game. The logical thing to do was take a knee and go to the locker room. Instead, O’Connell called a running play with Jones which got a couple of yards and a knee injury for Darrisaw. Bad luck? Sure, but the run was totally unnecessary. The risk/reward in that situation was firmly in the kneel down camp.

This right here.  His play calling also cost Cousins his season when they should've been running the ball in Green Bay.  The Darrisaw one was stupid, one of the biggest karma choices I've ever seen in professional sports.

How anyone could possibly think the loss was on Wentz is absurd.

Theres not a QB in the history of the world that could have done a thing with the "protection" he had from the O line. It looked to me the only blame would on him could be in that he must have done something behind the scenes to make them hate him, or they're getting paid by the Nostra for each hit Wentz took.

He's not a great QB by any stretch but cmon...

We all get an opinion, but the Brosmer talk to me is just....yeah.  Him going 3-4 for 13 yards and now he's the savior.  That for sure will make our defense not get gashed by a rb who was bagging groceries until the other guys got hurt.

Looking at Kwesi, what is the strength of the team he built?  Offense was good for one quarter with JJ, defense is a mess, team looked uninspired, stupid penalties...

Now the rest of the year JJ is going to get smacked around, but you've got to live with it because he's got to play.  

I'm taking the Lions to cover next week.  Dan Campbell is going to roll us...
