But I have to ask: Is the ForumComm paywall (InForum, GFHerald, et al) doing more harm than good. I searched "NDSU budget cuts" and got: this. I tried to read the Forum article and got "paywalled" so I read KFYR's, and VNL's, and even The Flags' (WDAY-AM) stories. I used to be a ForumComm subscriber when it was a daily paper. I even was a subscriber when it was two-days a week with online rights. But the way the online rights are set up, if I log in from my phone I have to re-log in on a computer or iPad later. It's a pain. It's not worth it. I dropped it all. I'll read what I can (freebees) until I run out then I go elsewhere. I also did a mercy subscription to the GF Herald for a year about a year ago (2 day paper and digital access) Missed the actual paper but it's become a lame joke - at least I can still use it to light my charcoal grill so there IS a value there but the digital access is to total cluster. Have to sign in frequently and slow "breaking" news. Totally not worth it and won't be re-upping this year. Sad but the Herald is going down like the Hindenburg and where else can you get local news? His twitter was a little piss and vinegar however. my paywall works for in inform company. Don’t mind paying for that, it’s better value than the Bismarck tribune and it’s not even close. For something that is so unlistenable, sure sounds like you listen a lot. The KNOX website is strictly straight news. It's not the cleanest layout, by any means, but it's a decent source for local news with no political opinion pieces... kind of like this website is supposed to be.
