SiouxFan100 Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Anybody else watching Fowler’s self destructing? Golf is such a mind game. Full of confidence then no confidence Quote

sioux rube Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 It was hard to watch at times but glad he came back to win it. Quote
DB Cooper Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Nobody more deserving than Rickie. Happy for him and always rooting for him when he's in the hunt. He just needs to get a major under his belt! 1 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 So the multiple rules changes for this year were supposed to make it easy play and understand for the average non-pro golfer? Ffom the past couple weeks looks like the pros can't even comprehend some of these changes. Quote
BIGSIOUX Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 According to the new rules, If he were on the green, and the ball moved like that, he wouldve been able to replace w/o penalty. There is no reason he should've been penalized for atrocious course set up. No common sense. Just tame the ball if you want to make the game harder for the pros, let amateurs use the juiced versions. tnt Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Hopefully this pushes Ricky forward like Dustin Johnson did when he overcame that horrendous ball moving ruling on the green in the U.S. Open a few years back. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and it obviously did for Dustin Johnson coming out on the positive end of a major after that. 1 Quote
sioux rube Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 Lefty wins his 44th career PGA title. Finished on 18 with a birdie to win by 4 strokes. Still has game at the ripe old age of 48 1 Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted March 17, 2019 Author Posted March 17, 2019 Happy for furyk and all of us old guys. Couldn’t quite pull it off Quote
sioux rube Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Tiger coming out conservative while the others are pin seeking. +1 after 5. Cantlay shot a -8 already so going low is a real possibility today. Finau was -6 just on the front 9. Quote
sioux rube Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Looks like the birdie on 6 woke Tiger up. He’s heating up now Quote

InHeavenThereIsNoBeer Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 That was incredible theater, one of the greatest moments in the history of golf. Bethpage and Pebble hold some pretty good memories for him too so maybe just scoop up major #16 and 17 heading into The Open at Royal Portrush Quote
SiouxFan100 Posted September 15, 2019 Author Posted September 15, 2019 Congratulations to Fargo’s Tom Hoge for his 2nd place finish in West Virginia today - and $817,500 payday. 1 Quote
NoiseInsideMyHead Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 McCord, Kostis squeezed out at CBS. Sad day for golf fans. These guys have been a big part of the Saturday/Sunday afternoon TV soundtrack for a generation. Quote

On radio yesterday, McCord said that the Tour is nixing all existing contracts after 2022, and every network will be bidding anew. All media options - and platforms - are expected to be in play. CBS will apparently keep heavy-hitters Nance/Faldo and will rely heavily on brothers Mark and Trevor Immelman. Bill Macatee is also out. I wouldn't mind having McCord and Kostis join Feherty as CBS refugees over at NBC. Fox's golf coverage has been horrendous the past couple of years, and nothing can save that. 2 Quote
tnt Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 I can do without McCord, but Kostis kind of surprises me. McCord tries too hard to be funny, and often misses the mark. I imagine if they are trying to go younger, he misses the mark even more. Silence sometimes is a lot more effective in certain situations, especially in golf. Quote
