Schmidt head coach. I’m in favor of him keeping on Fruechte, Olson, Kirkwood and Kostich. Think it’s probably best for everyone else to move on. I actually wouldn’t mind keeping Joel but moving him back to safeties. He cannot be DC.

So Schmidt only got to be a defensive coordinator one year (last year) after leaving UND?

His other coaching roles were pretty minor then I guess.

I think so. At Washington he was Special teams coach and worked with edge rushers.
