That was my point. The loss to Slovakia is a disaster with Canada being in the same pool as opposed to who SHOULD be there in their place. Quote

SiouxForever Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 USA lacks a solid blueline. Huges and Fox are good and can transition the puck, but collectively their back end is soft. Quote

I honestly think he’d be better off in the OHL then at Michigan. Quote

BigGreyAnt41 Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Maybe they should have a pickup with a plow on the front to clear off the ice, rather than a crew of guys with shovels, garbage cans and wheelbarrows.. 2 Quote
runaroundsioux Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 This is a travesty to the game of hockey. 2 1 Quote

90siouxfan Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 I'm actually enjoying, the players are getting after it. Still wish it was inside. 1 Quote
Siouxperior Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Bunch of debbie downers around here. It's a good game, fine venue, both teams get to enjoy the weather equally. 1 Quote

stoneySIOUX Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 WOW, that is a NASTY hit. If that's not a five.... I don't know. Of course it's not.... again, I don't know lol. 1 Quote
The Sicatoka Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Unwatchable. It's a disservice to hockey to "showcase" these players' skills in this manner. If I wanted to see guys fighting snow covered ice I can go watch any number of outdoor rinks in ND. 1 Quote

And there have been plenty of skillful plays today. Quote

That would be intense and a lot of fun for all involved. Never mind these kids have dreamt about playing in this tournament for years. Or that they could get seriously injured. It would be a blast! 1 Quote

You're speaking for them here. You think this may be a big time memory for them going forward in their careers? Absolutely it will. I'd be willing to say this makes it much more memorable. How many players get to play in this tournament and then get to play on this kind of stage? Very few. You're spot on in regards to the injury conversation, for sure. No doubt about that. For how bad the conditions are, this has been a fun game to watch and still LOADS of talent being shown on the ice. Quote
Wilbur Posted December 29, 2017 Author Posted December 29, 2017 USA wins the shootout. Didn't watch the game at all (screw work), but I'll eat crow if they dug in and played better hockey. Quote
