Wilbur Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Didn't see a thread for this, but the prelim games start on Tuesday. Five Duluth players made the squad and the kid that can't do pull ups scored against Sweden the other day. And the goalies are all hockey east guys. How Mismash is not on this team to give them some grit is beyond me. I think Canada wins gold this year, which hopefully jinxes their chances..... Quote
90siouxfan Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 I watched US vs SWE on net yesterday, good game. During first intermission, the announcers didn't shut off their mikes and were discussing Motzko's name being Russian and how to pronounce it. 3 Quote

Of course, there is so much young talent in this tournament, it is almost impossible to predict who will win. Quote
Blackheart Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Not too interested in tourney this year without any Sioux players in it. Go USA I guess. Quote

Terrible that Mismash wasn’t even on the prelim team. Und needs to start getting kids in the tourney, huge for recruiting. 1 Quote
90siouxfan Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 So is Motzko being the coach mean that UND players may not get a fair shake? How involved is he in choosing the team? Quote

Maybe Johansson or something like that. Quote

Wilbur Posted December 25, 2017 Author Posted December 25, 2017 Gold medal game from last year on NHL network right now. That game being decided by a shootout is a hockey tragedy. 2 Quote

The Sicatoka Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 < Bleep > this "pick the gold" crap. That's for the front-runners. The people want to know: "Who's getting relegated?" I have the Danes (last of Group A) surviving a three-gamer and the Belarus team (last Group B) headed down to "IA". Quote
