Yep, lots of new fans too. (I heard a "Studsberg" reference in the row behind me.) But with the way the game went down, I'm not sure if the attendance and new fans was a good thing. I dont really mean that I suppose, but man it's frustrating. You build all year for this game, you get a great crowd, new fans engaged, and that's the product you leave them with.  It seems like the good programs break through there. Heck, Go out and lose a respectable game in Cheney next week and call it a successful season. This doesn't sit right at all.

Great season but pathetic way to end.  Rudolph and the 12 year old kid who is the ST coordinator should be on notice. 

Agree with all of this besides Keaton, I actually think he played pretty well, besides Mercer and Fiedler nobody else could catch the ball. Toivonen, Stanley and Wanzek are as sure handed as FCS receivers get and they couldn't catch anything tonight. They all dropped easy receptions over and over. 

The problems UND has had the entire year ended up all coming to bite them at the end. Bubba needs to make changes with the Special teams unit. Them bringing pressure in that situation is unthinkable with anyone that has two brain cells to rub together. The blocked punt was a mess, multiple Richmond players could have blocked that one. 

On offense you are running the ball down their throats, but decide to do a reverse which made no sense and that ended up losing 7 yards, costing the team at least 3 points. 

The secondary also needs to get better, too many big plays. I hate calling for coaches jobs, but Rudolph and the Special Teams coordinator need to go.

What bothers me the most about Torrey Hunt are his antics when he make plays that he is expected to make. Look at me!  Aren't I great. Let me pound my chest.

The silver lining in all of this was @GreenWing and I heckled Richmond's coach Rocco so bad before the game that he ran right over to us after the win to talk some !@#$. We got under his skin about the Delaware job and he didn't forget us.

If people are going to give up on the program over one disappointing loss, then they probably weren't going to stick with the team anyway. This program is going in the right direction; we just need to build more depth and get our younger guys more experience. They will learn from this painful experience and they won't let it happen again.

The years to come look really good. This team was not good enough to win it all this year anyways and this game will be a great learning experience. Too bad we couldn't play two playoff games this year. This team will now have another chip on their back to motivate them next year. This wasn't the best team UND will have in the future as this team is young and has a ton of potential.

i think the missing link that may have helped us was the lack of defensive turnovers. Those really made a difference in the past games. I'm still proud of this team for a great season!

Like I said before this team is no where nearly as good as they could be. We would all have a different attitude if Richmond has put up a better effort the entire game and showed they actually deserve to win. We got to be patient. We need to drop these boom or bust expectations.

I'm sure we will get some talent upgrades, but his body of work shows that we can rely on Rudolf to call the same stupid, losing game year after year.

Agree with most of this. Playoff experience is great.  Season overall was great. Future looks great.  

And I would've even been happy with a loss if the team played even remotely close to its potential. 

Win it all?  Most likely not, but guarantee EWU prefers Richmond over us. This team had potential to make noise.

I think EWU was looking forward to completing big gains vs. our young and somewhat thin secondary. But I think they'll put up a lot of points vs. Richmond next week. They are a serious contender to make it to Frisco.

Not sure what the players or team thinks, but the fans wanted a matchup w/ y'all.  We wanted a chance to see a true Big Sky Championship with everything on the line.

Some of our fans need to realize just because we lost our first FCS playoff loss doesn't mean we won't be back again or that we won't win playoff games in the future. This team will be better.

Going for a block and running into the kicker when up 17 and gonna get the ball at midfield- absolutely the worst decision I have ever seen from a UND football team when considering the right decision was so obvious.  Gotta be smarter than that. What the hell were they thinking.  I am beyond frustrated.

My son is a current student. He pointed out what a missed opportunity it was.  Got a bunch of students to the game and interested. Could have built on the feeling that it was fun and that they contributed to a win. Move on in playoffs and raise fb's profile.

That flea flicker worked out pretty nice. That's the only way we could beat them over the top.
