bcblues Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Stupid penalty to take at this point in the game. Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Nice to get a win and salvage a split. After watching Wisconsin this weekend, they definitely look better than last year but I suppose that wouldn't take much.If other teams underestimate Wisco, they'll be in for a surprise just like North Dakota was. Handsome Rob Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 That pass from Schmaltz to Caggiula was a thing of beauty Quote
Colorado Sioux Guy Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Way to come out and win the 3rd period. Let's hope that becomes a common occurrence during the Berry Regime.Nice win. GO SIOUX 1 Quote

I wouldn't be surprised to see Wisconsin suck again this year. Quote
Siouxperman8 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Thanks for the updates. Following from Beijing today. 1 Quote
UNDBIZ Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Hopefully Schloss doesn't write about Miami being not good enough for the nchc this week Quote
bcblues Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 A split for the series is not the end of the world. We will see how we fare against Miami next weekend. They are ranked ahead of us in the pairwise. And they just swept Western Michigan. Quote
bcblues Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 That pass from Schmaltz to Caggiula was a thing of beautyIt was, absolutely. I did not appreciate it at game speed, but watching the slow motion replay, it was clear that he worked hard on the boards against bigger players, and was heads-up in 5-holing the oncoming defender to feed Cags. That was really, really nice. Quote

I wouldn't be surprised to see Wisconsin suck again this year.I don't think that will happen if they keep Kunin. And I wouldn't lay it on us being number one. Wisconsin typically plays us well, and they have some very talented freshmen that apparently have been getting better with each series. Of course, badger fans are conflicted about whether a severe suckfest is about the only way to get Alvarez off the dime on Eaves. Quote
bcblues Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Unless Wisconsin crawls under the bus, they are going to climb in the ratings and really surprise some well-seated teams. Quote

Cratter Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) Wisconsin typically plays us well. The old WCHA is over.UND swept Wisconsin last year at Wisconsin.Who doesn't play UND "typical well"? I hear that basically against every opponent, Duluth, Omaha, CC, Denver.... Edited November 8, 2015 by Cratter 1 Quote
bcblues Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Wisconsin reeked like rotten cheese last year. Quote

Cratter Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Wisconsin reeked like rotten cheese last year. This year Wisconsin had not beaten a team that has played Division I hockey more than a year (Arizona), until they beat UND last night. Quote
willythekid Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 A split isn't the end of the world for sure but hopefully the boys learned nothing is a given. If we were told that we would have a 7-1-2 record now before the season started most of us would've been quite happy. Especially with this young team. Focus now on Miami... Quote

fightingsioux4life Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 This young of a team, running on the third string practice goalie? Yeah, I'll take it.I think that "third string practice goalie" is better than anybody ever imagined. He was overlooked because of his lack of size (kind of like the volunteer goalie coach!) and is proving that he belongs at this level. Berry is going to have some tough decisions to make pretty soon. bcblues Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I do think Matt is the guy, but last night you could have fooled me. No seriously, I don't think that the goalie is in question right now. Quote
Fetch Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Cags is really one that sets the tone with his consistent quality of play - others feed off his example Quote
