Popular Post homer
I am not necessarily disagreeing with you but please explain your logic . Although it would be great to host a playoff game, do you think it would result in much higher attendance next year? You would think that getting to the playoffs and winning a game or two would really help attendance next year but I am not sure simply having a home playoff game (especially if we lost) would do that much. I feel UND football has not been very relevant to Grand Forks and the state of North Dakota the last 10 years. A home football game likely gets televised and gets a little more media coverage statewide than going on the road. Also, football at home that weekend would be the only sport in town so even though attendance may be down compared to round 2 or 3 of the playoffs, I think the casual sports fan may come to check it out. Plus, playing at home increases the chances of winning. That may get another playoff game on TV and more exposure. Winning a playoff game (or two) will only build interest and potentially increase season ticket sales next season.

We have to start someplace and this would be a nice first step for Faison to show us he cares at least a little bit about FB.

SWSiouxMN
Peaking into the MVFC bubble teams, both UNI and Indiana State have very manageable schedules to win out, so the winner of this one to me is the most likely team to run the table out of the 5 4 loss MVFC left. Teeder11
PSU is mailing it in, so far, getting run on now.... 14-0 in the first quarter UNC on top. Edited November 7, 2015 by Teeder11

Teeder11
UNC looks good.Conversely, PSU doesn't look like they are playing up to their potential. Reminiscent of last night at the Ralph with a certain team we all love. Edited November 7, 2015 by Teeder11
Teeder11
PSU rebounds..... 14-7. UNC still leads. in the first
Teeder11
UNC scores and adds PAT .... 21-7. PSU has some work to do early in the second quarter.
Teeder11
PSU makes it 21-10 on an FG. UNC leading.
Teeder11
PSU closing in on UNC makes it 21-17.... UNC still leads at almost halftime. PSU gets the ball to start second half.
Teeder11
PSU using pop up short kicks to combat UNC's lethal KR specialists. It's been mostly effective. UND has been doing that a lot of late anyway. Edited November 7, 2015 by Teeder11
Teeder11
UNC gets a fortuitous bounce and picks up a fumble by the PSU QB and walks it in for a TD. UNC leads PSU .... 28-17 with about 9 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. Edited November 7, 2015 by Teeder11
Teeder11
Another PSU turnover gives UNC a short field. PSU might have walked into this one with a big head. And maybe UNC will walk into the Alerus next week strutting a bit. I think those are the type of teams we play our best against.
Sioux94
We certainly are not going to be able to overlook UNC, I think it'll be another 4th quarter game for us next week.
Longtime fan
I've mentioned that this game scares me. Just because their jersery has UNC on it, most everyone thinks is a win!? No one is guaranteed a win, and UNC is improved this year. They should have beat e wash two weeks ago (last sec fg) but had some unfortunate bounces, and they have nothing to lose. If they can hold off port st they will have a swagger and the utmost confidence they can beat und. They've played the top 2 dogs in the big sky to what at the moment looks like a win and a should-of-victory. Hope und is healthy

But they probably don't want to overlook UND either? Should be fun!

Teeder11
How is their passing game looking?Lights out in the first quarter and then it came back down to earth the rest of the game. Probably equal to what we saw with Weber State.
Teeder11
UNC has a good RB tandem like we do. .. #27 is fast, runs hard and can catch out of the back field.
