Wilbur Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Keuchel passes the torch to Funderburk, who passes it to Winder. More great relief. Seven game lead. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Twins are following the plan to end this by Labor Day. Question now is, can they get hot enough to catch the AL West Divison leader for the two seed? Quote

Green Banner Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Twins have a 7 game lead and look to be a lock for the playoffs. Yankees are in last place in the AL East, we might get a playoff win! Quote
Wilbur Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 You know it's been one of those years when you wish Rocco had left Emilio Pagan in the game. I don't understand the 2-2 curve from Duran to Naylor. Go down with your best pitch. 1 Quote

The Sicatoka Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Just warming up for standard Minnesota Twins September baseball ... yeesh ... Quote

The Sicatoka Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 Well, at least the Twins won't break the 1951 Dodgers record of blowing a 13.5 game lead in August ... but that 7 5 gamer lead doesn't feel solid. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1951_National_League_tie-breaker_series Quote
Wilbur Posted August 30, 2023 Posted August 30, 2023 I think its nice that they'll have an off day tomorrow to reset for Texas. Cleveland has the Rays at home before the Twins head there for Monday's last series of the year. Credit to Cleveland. Went on the road and took a series from Toronto and Minnesota. A 5 game lead can be gone in a week. Quote
Wilbur Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Joe Ryan with a big start in Texas. Hung around until they could get the hit. Winning on a night where Cleveland wins and you are facing Scherzer....big. 1 Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 I would take Texas as a potential opponent in a playoff series matchup. Hope it happens Quote

Wilbur Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Probably time to pull the plug on DK starting. Long relief though..... Quote
Wilbur Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Got the lead back, and now it's up to the bull pen. Cleveland tied their game again down to their last strike. They are hot at the moment. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Again, I have zero issue with drawing Texas in the first round of the playoffs. I can't believe people thought they would struggle with them down in Texas. Quote

Winder, Funderburk, Headrick. 22 players saw action tonight for the Twins. Quote

Oxbow6 Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Buxton got pulled from his Saints rehab game due to "soreness". At what point does the Twins organization say enough. He continues to fleece this franchise....or stealing from is a better description. Getting him out of the organization is addition by subtraction on day 1. Quote

They knew what they had with him and still offered the contract. 2 Quote
Wilbur Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Maeda and a group of AAA guys for the Twins today. Two out of three against the Rangers is an okay thing. Now Cleveland. Gotta win one of the three. Quote
