I think this is the correct rendering.  Found here:https://www.grandforksgov.com/Home/Components/Calendar/Event/10627/459?toggle=allpast

couple options in that, including a larger screen on top and a ribbon board that goes from pole to pole. They also offered video screens above the seating entrances, similar to what the Ralph has above the tunnels.

I believe the rendering that I posted is the one that would have been installed.

The Alerus Center needs a ribbon board above the suites, like any major venue has.

Paying over $4 million for the same setup (but marketed better resolution) is pretty generic and lazy in my opinion. If Daktronics or LucentHD, or whoever, gets the contract, they *should* be working with the city and Alerus Center staff (and UND) to enhance the atmosphere, not replicate it.

Ribbon boards above the suites and/or covering more of the tin with video boards is a great start.

Daktronics or LucentHD won’t be able to change the lack of natural light issue, but a contractor that can address that would be priceless. More natural light in the Alerus Center would be phenomenal for the atmosphere in my opinion …

I’d rather they pimp out the sound system than upgrade the screens.

Not an audio guy, but how much can new speakers help with the current acoustics (metal walls) in the Alerus?

Not an audio engineer either but I know a good sound system when I hear it. The weight room at the new weight room is light years ahead of the Alerus.
