morley Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Apparently I had opened the multicam feed on espn3.com. Found the correct feed with the announcers, but the quality isn't neraly as clear. Quote
Ray77 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Per Buccigross...BC is 21-2-2 when scoring first this year. Quote
siouxweet Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 has the frozen four lost it's luster a little bit? lots of empty seats and tickets have become easier and easier to come by the past few years. Quote
Ray77 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 BC powerplay. Sidenote - how does the NCAA allow Union to have the name "Dutchmen"? People aren't mascots. Quote
Ray77 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 BC penalty. 4x4 for 50 seconds and then a 1:10 Union PP. Quote
ringneck28 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 has the frozen four lost it's luster a little bit? lots of empty seats and tickets have become easier and easier to come by the past few years. what school is hosting this tourney? I believe there isn't a college hockey team in Philly. Quote
cberkas Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 what school is hosting this tourney? I believe there isn't a college hockey team in Philly. ECAC school, probably Princeton. Quote
morley Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Union would look a lot better if they could catch a pass. Looks like they are holding their sticks a little tight. Quote
ringneck28 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 ECAC school, probably Princeton. my point exactly, philly isn't a college hockey hotbed. Until ncaa decides that it isn't going to have tourney in places like Tampa, Philly, D.C., there won't be full arenas. Face it, this is a niche event, have tourney in college hockey hotbeds and they will see larger crowds. Quote

Wilbur Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Union is a tremendous defensive team, but how in the world does Johnny skate free on a few of these plays? They just about had him all alone on the other end of a 2-1. Crowd looks pretty good to me. Goal Union 1-1. Sounds like a lot of people are not cheering for BC. Quote
Wilbur Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 This is only the third time I've seen Union play and they have yet to disappoint. Just tenacious on the forecheck, and their puck movement and management is what keeps a line like Johnny's away from creating opportunities. Quote
808287 Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 C'mon Union...make me proud! (just to get us off the BC schneid...) Quote
Vegas_Sioux Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Does anyone have a guess as to which of the four programs will have the most support in Philly next Thursday? I'm really curious to see which team's fans make the most noise. And will the winner of the early game (Boston College vs. Union) cheer for North Dakota, thinking that they want the Gophers knocked out before the final? For what it's worth, here are the drive times to Philadelphia... From Grand Forks, ND (University of North Dakota): 23 hours From Minneapolis, MN (University of Minnesota): 19 hours From Chestnut Hill, MA (Boston College): 5.5 hours From Schenectady, NY (Union College): 4 hours Discuss. Dave Just remember Philly is a hub for major carrier and it's many regional feeders there are plenty of Sioux fans in the immediate area. Quote
Vegas_Sioux Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 2-1 union I think I'm just listening right now Quote
Wilbur Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 2-1 Union....Demko should have let that go high. Union gets one right after BC should of had one. I love hockey..... Quote
geaux_sioux Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Union is earning themselves a new fan right now. I love the way they play. Note to Rocco. Not every pass needs to be a rocket. Union has great touch on most passes. Quote
