bincitysioux Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Can't believe nobody has jumped on this yet. Jeff Kolpack: NDSU football is going to Grand Forks after all. Bison practicing at Alerus Center next 2 days cause of wrestling tourney at the Fargodome. So will the Bison be having practice at the same time in the same place we'll be introducing our new Head Coach? A bit awkward....... Quote

I thought Bohl liked practicing outside to make his players tougher.... Quote
Sodbuster Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Boy, I thought that there's no way they'd practice anywhere near Grand Forks, ND. Quote
darell1976 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I am sure the Alerus gets a nice dollar amount for renting it to NDSU. Quote

DI IN FARGO Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Ha it's the only way you guys will ever see a Championship caliber team in that tin shed Quote
jdub27 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I thought NDSU had the best facilities in the country at this level? And the team was practiced outside in the cold to toughen them up? 1 Quote
Siouxperfan7 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 So I guess the "we don't need an indoor practice facility, we have the Fargodome whenever we want it" argument for NDSU doesn't hold much water now does it!! 2 Quote
DI IN FARGO Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 They don't have to worry about practicing out in the cold when you play in Frisco in January of course you wouldn't know anything about that Quote
bincitysioux Posted December 26, 2013 Author Posted December 26, 2013 "Sigh"................. The Thundering Herd.............bumped by Rasslin'................. 1 Quote

Kind of like "our coach would only leave to a B1G or Big 12 team" type thing? 1 Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I am glad UND opened the Alerus for su. I would expect and hope the opposite would be true. Maybe it will help getting a game scheduled. I am looking forward to the NC game and I will be rooting for su. 1 Quote

ericpnelson Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 I waited until an SU troll surfaced so its fair game now. Make sure to bolt everything down. Quote
PrideOfTheNorth Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 They don't have to worry about practicing out in the cold when you play in Frisco in January of course you wouldn't know anything about that You had the #1 seed in the playoffs, you play ALL your postseason games in the Fargodome until Frisco. Why did NDSU practice outdoors before then? Also, looking over your shoulder much? Quote

I'm enjoying the "this will be a catalyst for an IPF" argument though. Quote

I think it is a little more than purely business. The Alerus could have come up with a lot of reasons not to do this. Do you think Alabama would open up their practice fields to Auburn? 1 Quote
Hayduke Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Shouldn't they be practicing on a soccer field like the one in Frisco? Quote
SIOUXFAN97 Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 bubba's presser should be on CAMPUS at the gorecki alumni center anyways.... Quote

Do you think Alabama would open up their practice fields to Auburn? I think it's all good. As long as the fine folks at the Alerus alerted Best Buy that the University of Agriculture and Applied Science's football team is in town. Quote

Do you think Alabama would open up their practice fields to Auburn? Well, UND doesn't own the Alerus Center, the city does so it is not a valid comparison. So yeah, pretty much a business transaction between NDSU and the Alerus Center. UND doesn't really fit into the equation other than they are the main rent-paying tenant of the building. Quote
