siouxweet Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Would it had been shown if St. Cloud had won last night and the rodents were playing in it? I doubt it since the championship would have been switched to the afternoon and third played at night. they stated it several times last night that the championship game was at 7 tonight betweent he two winners regardless of who won. MafiaMan Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 they stated it several times last night that the championship game was at 7 tonight betweent he two winners regardless of who won. But of course...until Minnesota loses and then that would have likely gone right out the window. 1 Quote

MafiaMan Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 St Cloud State defeats Mankato for 3rd place...in front of a crowd consisting mainly of family and friends. Must be bad weather again... Quote

MafiaMan Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Would guess they'll have to blame the weather this afternoon for the meaningless third place game; isn't even on FSN. Hope for both NCHC teams to win today. 3rd place game was indeed televised on FSN. Quote
yzerman19 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Mankato losing two was best case for us A UMD win tonight is also big for us Quote
bigskyvikes Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I dont understand why MSU losing helps the Sioux? Please explain. Is it because the others are in the Sioux's league? Quote
bigskyvikes Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Does more league teams winning benefit all league teams? Quote

yzerman19 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Does more league teams winning benefit all league teams? not necessarily- but it should more often than not, as RPI will go up for those of us who play the winner only and down for those who play the loser only. Winning %, opponents' winning %, oppenents' opponents' % Quote

MafiaMan Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Electric atmosphere at the X I see. Now, now...there's some snow on the ground and it's cold outside. Let's not be too hard on the hometown fans. Quote

RollTribe Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Crazy game at the X right now though! 3 goals scored in less than a minute, UMD leads Minn 2-1, 13 minutes into the game. Quote
brianvf Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I dont understand why MSU losing helps the Sioux? Please explain. Is it because the others are in the Sioux's league? Gives the NCHC two more victories against a WCHA opponent. With the dismal OOC record for the NCHC thus far...any wins will help. Quote

RollTribe Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Bulldogs playing excellent! Yeah, great puck movement! Paid off on their last goal, and nearly paid off again about 30 seconds later. Quote
runaroundsioux Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I dont understand why MSU losing helps the Sioux? Please explain. Is it because the others are in the Sioux's league? To make it simple, NCHC team win against a non-conference opponent. The NCHC has a dismal non-conference record which hurts all NCHC teams pairwise. Quote
Sodbuster Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Gopher announcers accusing Bulldog of diving. Quote
Siouxman Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Gopher announcers accusing Bulldog of diving. That is unbelievable. I have seen the replay several times and that was a clear head shot. Not necessarily intentional, but the shoulder was to the head. The Gopher announcers are embarrassing themselves on this one. Quote
scpa0305 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Pulling hard for the bulldogs....this weekend could sure help us in the pw. Quote
