Wilbur Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Well. Give the kids some credit....made this a ball game. Now to make another play.... PS: Why on earth did SDSU stop running the ball? Quote
Wilbur Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 And thats the ball game folks. Made it a game though.....About what I thought the score would be. Quote
Matt Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 We've all said it guys...these are freshman QBs we are talking about here. It will take a season or two. Quote
southpaw Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 It's a shame on that "hit out of bounds." First contact was made before his foot stepped out. The follow through, which was completely legal, carried a yard or two. Bad call. 1 Quote
Wilbur Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 So can't they just take three knees here? Quote
UNDBIZ Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Made it a game and actually could get one more chance at the end here Quote

BobIwabuchiFan Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 He'll of a comeback...coulda quit, but they didn't...says a lot! Quote
Matt Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Could've quit? Who even does that? A bunch of losers? Quote
Irish Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 The Mussman era - hey we almost beat a good team 2 Quote
UNDBIZ Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 The Mussman era - hey we almost beat a good team Can't argue that one Quote
Jheria Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Looks like it was a toe to toe game Edit it was a good fight for a while there In the second half . Almost a challenge Quote
UNDBIZ Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Und defense showed a glimpse of what they're capable of. If only they could do it for a whole game. Need to create some turnovers Quote

tnt Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Play of the game -- drop by Jameer Jackson when the Sioux were driving again to make it 14-0. 3 turnovers, a record rushing performance, a bunch of penalties, and a one-dimensional attack, and the Sioux were right there. The fact that the points of emphasis by the Sioux -- focusing on being able to run the ball, being able to stop the run, not turning the ball over, and forcing turnovers -- the team was 0-4, doesn't give me abundance of confidence going forward, especially since they spent a ton of time in those areas. The fact that we have two freshmen quarterbacks that are only going to get better kind of offsets that skepticism a bit. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Well at least Hardin is still good..... Quote

The fact that we have two freshmen quarterbacks that are only going to get better kind of offsets that skepticism a bit. I think immaturity and discipline played factors. Immaturity in the young QB's, and even in some of the guys they need to step up and make plays like Jackson/Golloday when they dropped balls. Discipline is kind of the same thing we've seen in the Muss era. Personal foul penalties.....missing tackles (I'll throw that in the discipline of making a tackle), and even a play like Bartels not sliding and fumbling the ball away. The more mature and disciplined team won the game. Despite their coaches not running the ball in the fourth quarter for whatever reason. Quote
southpaw Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I agreed with Mussmans handling of the QBs and I don't mind if it continues. Give Mollberg the start and don't think about pulling him til second half. If offense hasn't done much, try Bartels for rest of game. Quote
Jheria Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Well at least Hardin is still good..... Hardin is better than good. Very fun to watch Quote
108498 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I want to thank those of you that stayed around the whole game. I know we did not pull it out, but I think we caught the eye of Montana don't you. Quote
