farce poobah Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 I laughed out load when I read this. Hey thanks - I'll be here all week. Don't forget to tip your waiter or waitress. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Gwoz interviewing at UAH. http://whnt.com/2013/06/19/national-champion-hockey-coach-interviews-for-uah-job/ Could turn that program around into the WCHA kingpin. Quote
UNDBIZ Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Gwoz interviewing at UAH. http://whnt.com/2013...ws-for-uah-job/ Could turn that program around into the WCHA kingpin. They'd still be trying to play hockey in Alabama though....... Quote
MafiaMan Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 They'd still be trying to play hockey in Alabama though....... Good coaching seems to work at places like UMass-Lowell, Quinnipiac, and Yale... Quote
Hayduke Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I hope he gets that job. I have a good friend that went to Huntsville and used to go to all the games. Small but loyal fan base. Gwoz will make some waves down there. Quote
burd Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 It would be very interesting to see what Gwoz would do with UAH. There are a lot of good hockey players out there who are not going to BC UMinn or UND. Quote

burd Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 He's a hell of a college hockey coach, much as he pisses us Sioux fans off. He should be behind the bench somewhere. Quote

Which makes you wonder why there's no takers? There has to be more to the story than salary discrepancies, I'm guessing he's a nightmare for administrators to work with and other institutions know it. I think UAH would be a really good fit for him, they almost need each other to survive. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I'm guessing he's a nightmare for administrators to work with and other institutions know it. I've had an athletics administator at an NCHC school say as much to me. Quote
Goon Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I've had an athletics administator at an NCHC school say as much to me. Of course the DU AD is going to say that, she just fired him. Quote

IrishSiouxFan Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Reports out of Denver say Gwoz has landed an NHL coaching gig with the Tampa Bay Lightning http://www.denverpos...ky-become-tampa I'm glad he found a good coaching opportunity at the next level. I'm sure he was difficult for administrators to work with, but he's got one heck of a record. Denver's going to go through some growing pains over this loss, and the NCHC is weaker as a result. Quote
