As soon as he lets go of the puck he lifts both of his fists to Mac's head when he's about to get hit. Coincidental penalties was the right call. Alright, I only saw it once. Since it wasn't on screen when it happened, I only saw one replay. If Rau lifted his hands up that probably explains why it flew up as awkwardly as he did. Shots are very misleading...Fox Sports North actually put a stat up that said MN has had 10 quality scoring chances- they must've meant shots. This has been a very good period for both teams. The game I've been watching has been very even. Establishing a forecheck is more important than getting off a shot from the point. I would guess that time on attack is dead even. So if you put your hands up to protect yourself from a check, that's 5 minutes for head contact? Are you really serious or is this just a heat of the moment in game thing? In 1,000,000 years you will never see a referee anywhere give 5 minutes or even 2 minutes for that. You can hate Rau all you want. if he wasn't on my team I would too, but don't be ridiculous.
