They are also in the process of creating a new campus master plan for the next round of updates.

I believe the golf thing will be doa when it’s gets to county commission

If that’s the case, you can’t blame UND for not trying. I think they came up with a reasonable approach for the development, and the time is now with all the work already happening in that area. I’m not a taxpayer in Grand Forks, and I can respect those who vote against it. Trust me, I get the pros and cons of TIF/PILOT programs. In this case, the community gets another entertainment option. I live in the Cities, where everything seems focused on paying for housing with little to no return for the general public atleast in my community.

There is no tax base on the golf course now so why stop the. Project, in 20 years it will be taxed 

if someone doesn’t like a shorter course don’t go there

go the project...just go bigger but just close the course...bo should set about to get 2 or 3 more courses added in the next 10 years or so...

Given that it is going to be a "boon", seems like there is some actual language in the Protect College Sports Act that isn't exactly friendly towards NDSU but was glossed over:

 

Reading the article would help.  McFooly's main point had nothing to do with money, it was regarding rules limiting realignment and super leagues.  In theory, creating stability for G6 leagues.

No clue if he's right.  Probably not.

So, tell me who on JMU's schedule excites you? Who will NDSU get to come to Fargo for a game? Certainly, no P4 teams.  Same goes for UND if they were FBS.

Who's "excites" you on UNDs schedule?  SDSU would be it for home games in the MVFC now that NDSU is gone.  Maybe USD if they are still relevent, which at times is questionable. Illinois State or Youngstown on certain seasons, but do those foes really fire up the masses?

JMU's schedule is ironically full of former FCS teams...which tells us all we need to know about the current status of the FCS, where maybe 5 schools have a chance to win a title this year (or one, Montana State).

To each their own when it comes to excitement, I guess.

Do an executive par 3 and have the city work on another course, don’t know where the money would come from. Are the country club and kings walk hard to tat a tee time at ?

I did read the article, but I'm not sure if Mike read the bill. A section carving out distributions NDSU won't get seems pretty relevant when you're touting something. In fact, he literally referenced it before completely ignoring the context of it:

Agreed. Every mail bag or UND football 360 podcast, someone should ask the question so it is talked about publicly. 

UND absolutely needs to work closely with SDSU and the Montana schools. I wonder if it’d be worth an open records request to see if there’s been any sort of dialogue. I get they’d be pretty hush-hush and most would be done in person, but worth a try. 

Do those other ADs like our AD enough to lock arms with him? Do donors like our AD enough to financially back something like this? Albrecht going to Armacost to donate instead of Chaves doesn’t really instill a lot of confidence.

Lotta vocal people against it, but it seems like the majority is for the project, just not as vocal. Need people to voice support to the CC. 
 

Would be a huge mistake if it doesn’t get done. That land will sit unused for decades generating zero tax revenue.
