For example, Boise St is having a spat with the MWC over future payments. Boise could go American in football only or independent with BYU etc, and it would need a place to take in their other sports. UCLA, USC, and Notre Dame are the only FBS schools that have never played an FCS one and USC wants to stay within that club. USC will owe over $700k for cancelling that game now. Pioneer League makes sense for them...academics stronger than MVC...also many private schools....also thinking Big East for BB...same reasoning....hockey has some issues with rink availability...perhaps WCHA or NCHC...WCHA makes more sense as the Tommie's will bring women's sports as well....enrollment is 10,000 undergrads...plus a grad school... Had posted that story. The MVC would be likely after they finish their transition as the MVC doesn’t take transitioning schools. Now, they could go WAC, or Big Sky or even the Summit if if goes further west. The Big West didn't want Boise then, but San Diego St insisted. The overall sample size was 500. However the sports questions were only asked to those who identified as sports fans (56% or 277 of respondents per the study). There are plenty of NDSU Football/UND hockey fans. Unimaginable to me but to each there own. I'd guess a portion fo the MInnesota sports fans also would be fans of some ND teams as well. Basically it doesn't really prove or show anything other than ~1/3 of sports fans who responded think NDSU is fine where they are, ~1/3 want them to move up and the other ~1/3 doesn't know or really care. If you are going to do this poll get more participants & make sure they are ALL some sort of interested/knowledgeable sports fan with more vague choices, or else your poll is worthless.
