Hard to know how that equates to the college game...we have seen this story before

Not from the Dub. 40 goals is a lot no matter what junior league you’re in. The Dub is a very high scoring league though  due to all the top and talent.

Is that because kids are playing for their own personal professional futures (selfish play), or just the result of so much dynamic offensive talent.

So much dynamic offensive talent. The depth isn’t awesome so the higher end kids dominate.

Yeah I saw that…and thought of that. But Zellers and Park are on the same line, they both score a ton, you’d think they’d be able to keep the puck out of the net.

Probably a similar situation to a Boisvert who is minus 4, while you have guys like Littler +9.  Since UND and Green Bay need that scoring from those guys to be competitive against the other top lines, they may be less attentive to the defensive end and more wide open.  Regardless, probably a learning curve to be more responsible both ways, which means if things remain the same he won’t get as much ice time as he should with his upside.

So how much concern should there be in terms of losing committed recruits? Be a huge bummer if Zellers doesn't make it to campus now.

I'd hope that he'd still honor his commitment regardless.  But he had already opened up recruitment once before (originally a BU commit)...so anything is certainly possible.
Absolutely need Zellers and Laurila here this fall still.
Hopefully Jackson is working the scene behind closed doors with both recruits and current players.

Aren't his parents both UND alums? Feel like he's much more loyal to UND than he ever was to BU

I think everyone in his family went to UND. I believe his sister is also currently a student at UND. I don’t think he’ll change his mind about coming here.

There is a podcast called drop the mitts hockey that interviewed zelllers recently.  He talks about his dad playing football at und, his mom being a Cheerleader and his sister going to und and how many family members he has in north dakota.  I think he stays committed

If he doesn't stay commited, I will be SHOCKED.

Looks like Penticton Vees and Eli McKamey will be in the WHL next season.

I’m interested to see how that shakes out with his WHL rights belonging to another team.

Cooper Simpson with the only goal of the game, the overtime winner for Tri City.  Carson Pilgrim doesn’t seem to be putting up numbers lately. Don’t know if he was injured, but was out of the lineup a few times, so maybe his ice time has been reduced.
