No chance of Gaber coming back for a 5th year? I heard the Sioux FB members are trying to convince Gaber’s mom to talk him into staying. ;):D

The way they made it sound, he was coming back for one more year (this year).   He certainly has the eligibility to play one more year, but the odds probably aren't that good.

He’s most likely leaving….but it wouldn’t be a terrible idea. I’m guessing he most likely won’t carve out an NHL role…he’ll play a ton of AHL hockey and European hockey. Which is great to be honest. Why not play another year? I get it though, players need to chase their dreams.

Plus, do you run the risk of losing a good 2-4 year player.  Not a lot of room beyond Panzer, Boisvert, Swanson, Littler and Croal.  I assume Klee and Slipec will be out a few years.  Leaving could be Johannes, Jamernik, Ness, and Albrecht.  Would they want Jamernik or Ness to stay another year, or does Jamernik want to start his flight career?

Mac Swanson listed as a player to watch rather than A, B or C is puzzling. I guess his size is a concern for the pro game, so he'll spend all 4 years in college!

I read an article reacting to the ratings and he was mentioned. They said that scouts expected him to explode offensively this year and at the Hlinka and he didn’t. He’s above a PPG though so I wouldn’t say I’m concerned about his production. But I wish he had different linemates.

Thought folks might like to see this prospect list of A-Rated players on the NHL web site.  Sacha Boisvert getting some love as an "A" rated prospect.  Good read for those interested in the 2024 draft.

Celebrini, Eiserman earn A rating from NHL Central Scouting | NHL.com

Here are the UND commits on the Central Scouting list:

  • A rating - 1st round candidate
    • Sacha Boisvert
  • B rating - 2nd/3rd round candidate
    • Eric (EJ) Emery
    • Will Zellers
  • C rating - 4th/5th round candidate
    • Caleb Heil
    • Sam Laurila
    • Carson Pilgrim
  • W rating - 6th/7th round candidate
    • Keith McInnis
    • Mac Swanson

By my count, every one of UND's eligible 2006 commits is somewhere on the List. (Ashton Schultz is an '06 commit, but has a post-September 15 birthday.) Not too shabby.

I agree, Gabert is currently 24 years old, the chances aren't good.

Did Albrecht red shirt his freshman year when he never drew in?

Yep, redshirt.

Whenever I see one of these lists, I'm reminded of Chris Dilks who used to have some pretty good write ups on prospects, but usually butted heads with North Dakota fans on a variety of issues.  Whatever happened to that guy?  I haven't seen anything from him in ages, and his old Twitter account seems relatively dormant.

He kind of stopped posting anything when Vox got rid of a lot of SB Nation
