At this rate, the Women's Hockey program will surpass the Men's Basketball program in overall strength and interest! :D

With the twins, average attendance for women's games should easily go over 1000. Would be interesting what a Top 5 UND team could draw for UMD, UM, and UW home games. Also, wonder if the any of the games will be televised on FCS.

I believe they will be announcing a new assistant for the womens program this afternoon. A former Sioux mens player is what I've heard.

That would be Erik Fabian. That came out awhile ago.

So any news on the Canadian player that was weighing UND? Sounds like the team will be solid regardless, but it never hurts to add another of the best players in the world...

If you are talking about Poulin, I think she committed to Boston University who the Sioux play early this year.

Not sure if you are referring to the Beer Swilling Marie Philip-Poulin. She decided to take her game to BU. I hope we spank them just for that reason alone.

Some WCHA team previews for 2010-2011

The Badgers will be very strong. I don't see Bemidji being ahead of Ohio State or North Dakota in the WCHA standings for 2010-2011.

It's too bad Karvinen didn't pass the NCAA clearinghouse. Would have been nice to see her team up with the "sisters" this year rather than next.

She's listed on the roster at fightingsioux.com. Is this a new development?

It was in the Herald yesterday, along with the info on Lewis not playing this year.

The ladies are winning right now in the third against the Toronto Aeros....9-0

Jocelyne Lamoureux had a natural hattie in the second by scoring our 3rd, 4th, and 5th goals. Monique Lamoureux-Kolls has two in the third, scoring our 7th and 9th goals. Sara Dagenais scored the 1st goal. Mary Loken had our 2nd and 6th goals. And last but not least, Alyssa Weibe had our 8th goal.

That is the final score

Women's hockey: It's time for the twins

It would be great if we could get lots of people out to the Ralph today and get the team off to a great start for the season. Just a little suggestion since this game is going to be on National TV: for those of us who make it lets sit in the lower rows of the west stands and behind the goals. It will make it look better on National TV!

Excellent point. I think everyone should do that for sure. Maybe we get 1000 for this game?

GO SIOUX! Beat BU!
