  1. First time they wore black at home was late 90's vs Denver I believe .
  2. Dulth, because I could not stomach losing to Denver and seeing them advance to Frozen 4. Besides it is tough to beat a team 5 times in a year (LOL).
  3. He is usually correct, but I don't think they put the number #1 overall seed in Fargo to play either the host team or #5 overall seed in Regiional Final. Not much of a reward.
  4. Which is better for und sports watching roku or fire stick? Can you get watch big sky or nchc.tv on either? Or both. Thanks for your help?
  5. I'm afraid no one will make the tough decision and will keep all sports and trim the budgets of all sports. They have not shown the ability to make the tough design before. I'm in favor of keeping Women Hockey and cutting as many of the non-spectator sports as possible. But if the powers to be cut women’s hockey to balance the budget I'm fine with it. Just don’t cut the Budgets of Men's Hockey, either BB's, Volleyball or Football. I know no one watches Women's hockey no need to point that out. I think with the right coach and success the fans will come..
  6. No Chance Mn allowes a team from ND to join MN Hight school hockey. I would be more interested in a SD/ND jointed state tourneyment. top 4 from each state. Why to easy to make the ND State tourney now..
  7. We have been in this position a lot in the last 14 years. Normally the turnaround has started at the beginning of the new year, but I can remember a bunch of time were the NCAA's were still in Question this time of the year. I expect this year will not be any different. We will do what needs to be done to get in.
  8. I remember when the REA was being build they were anticipating that the upper bowl would only be used for big draws. i.e. gopher games. That obviously is not the case with the demand for tickets. The Lower bowl was designed that if the upper bowl was empty it would still feel full. It sure feels empty if the upper bowl is empty. I wonder if they were to curtain off the upper bowl and maybe a portion of the lower bowl if that would help for both Women's and HS games. No idea what the cost would be, but think it would help with the atmosphere.
  9. I would bet more fan's attend womens hockey than Soccer, Tennis, Softball, Swimming/Diving and Golf Combined. More national exposure for Women's Hockey and a chance for National Championship. Much more room to grow.
  10. No I didn't mention the Univerity directly. Example last year I would go to Choice Fitness to workout. At the same time UND was playing a tennis match. No one was there except the Student Athletes. They would play all the matches at the sametime and an hour later it was done. The other team would leave. What a waste of money. No benifit to the university. At least with Womens hockey fan's both student and non-students go to the games.
  11. its abouit the univerisity.
  12. Holy crap. Who said exactly the same? Who said anything about revenue? Who said anything about their budget. Attendance is about the same. Both about 1K.
  13. Volleyball and W Hockey are about the Same.
  14. When was the last time they ending season with 3 straight weekends at home before the first round of the playoffs? Doing that would mean being of the road a lot more earlier in the season. Yes Scheels areana is better for the State tourney, but the REA is a better arena. I would think HS players would enjoy playing at the REA. I think State touneyment need to be spread out amoug the 4 major cities in ND. Fargo shold not get everything,
  15. no idea, but I would think its got to be more that 2400.
  16. The Men's team is not reducing the number of home games by being out of town that weekend. You would be still have the same number of home game just on a different weekend. The women already play at 2 moving it to 1 would not be that big of a deal. The community supports that university they should help to support the community. The Men were rarely at home that weekend in the WCHA. Something had to have changed.
  17. Nope. Everything is the truth.
  18. I get that. I would like to see what makes up that $36,194. I'm not against cutting Women's Hockey. The subject has been beat to death on here, Just wish the support between the Men's and Women's program wasn't so great.
  19. don't beleive that.
  20. Do they even charge to watch Swimming and Diving.
  21. Now that would be a way to be talked about.
  22. Either we are a hockey town or just a Sioux Men's hockey town. They need a new coach. Do that and start winning the fan's will come. Women's hockey is a good alternative to people that can't afford tickets to the men's game. The whole student "athlete opportunities" does nothing for me. If no one is willing to watch them play than big deal. Women'shockey generates more fan interest then Tennis, Golf, Softball, Soccer and Swimming and Diving. Look there before cutiing Women's Hockey.
  23. Doesn't it seat only 2k.
  24. Agree with this 100%. Plus when they finally do play a home game they seem to get postponed due to weather. Also they generate zero dollars in ticket revenue. Same this with with M and W Golf.
  25. With regard to GF hosting the Tourneyment every year can't UND just flex there muscle with the NCHC and be on the road the last Weekend of February every year? The Women could play early afternoon Friday, Saturday and Sunday if need be. We need to find a way to get this Tourneyment in GF every year.
