If Faison keeps sending down contracts to GT to play a football game, and GT keeps rejecting it, who comes out looking worse? I realize that NDSU doesn't need to prove anything to UND and doesn't owe them anything either. But what does that say to your players/fans/etc. when you refuse to play a team because of something that happened 10 years ago?!! What is the worst that could happen....NDSU loses to UND?? If the Bison are such a superior team and program, than losing to UND will never happen. The FACT that Faison doesn not want to schedule UND is because if they did lose the game, it would crush his precious ego. As long as GT is around, this game will not be played. Just sad that GT can man up and get over the past.

Maybe you should take the course instead!! By saying that "UND might cancel the series leaving NDSU scrambling to find a game. Nothing in UND's track record convinces me otherwise", you are saying that UND may cancel the series and that their track record shows that. All we are asking you to do is provide examples from that track record that would leave you to believe that. If Faison sent up a contract to play, and GT signed it, there is a 100% chance that UND would not back out of this game.

UND is an unreliable business partner. I guess we can add that that to the ever growing list of excuses why GT won't schedule this game. (P.S. still waiting for examples of when UNd backed out of a signed contract to play a game.).

Those were all great things to remember about the weekend that made it pretty sweet. Except for one thing. That was not Ed Belfour at the Old Mattress Factory Bar. I was there....close...but deffinitely not Eddie! Many people were duped by him!!

Guess what...the team will play games and win games wether people are watching them on TV or not. sure it is not as good of a situation as it is now with FCS, but to say it is the most damaging thing that could happen to UND?? Now that is just crazy!! Faison has made some questionable decisions in the past, but being a leader in getting the NCHC formed was a pretty big accomplishment. Getting a National network to broadcast games is a pretty sweet deal two. Would you rather be playing in the WCHA playing on the FSSN? Sure next year is gonna be not as great, but that doesn't mean it can't improve in the future. ext year will be the first year of the conference and the new TV deal. It will get better. So if you are driving back from Omaha today you will most likely be stuck somewhere along I29. If not, you should be. Interstate is closing in parts. Lots of Sioux fans here in the Holiday Inn Express in Brookings!! Where is everyone stranded?!!

If it rains Saturday (chances are it will not) they will most likely play at the Century Link Center on Sunday. There is a Creighton basketball game Saturday night, but they can probably convert it over pretty quickly withing a couple hours. I am sure there is a contingency plan if the the weather makes it unable to play the game outdoors...even on Sunday.

Side note: Jim Cornelison will be singing the National Anthem on Saturday. In case you don't know who he is...he is sings the anthem at Blackhawks games!! I love how the crowd cheers as loud as they can during the entire anthem!! Goosebumps!! Hopefully we can replicate that this Saturday!!

The high that day in Omaha is supposed to be in the low 40's and probably will be colder than that when the second game starts. It is supposed to be cloudy so there shouldn't be to much ice melting. Chance of rain still pretty low, so I think the conditions are about as good as you can ask for. Hey Blackheart, You don't have to buy anything. these guy that put the ice in are the same guys who do the ice for the Winter Classic every year. When is the last time you heard about the Winter Classic ice being crappy? Its not going to be like the Hockey Day Minnesota day in Moorhead a couple years ago with puddles everywhere. Ice conditions won't be perfect, but they are not going to be terrible.

Why is it taking 2 years to get new green jerseys??!! I like the black ones...but I would like to see us wear the greens at home for most games. Only bring out the blacks for special games. Much like the hockey team does. From the sound of it, looks like they will be wearing the blacks for every home game next year.

Not sure what forecast you are looking at, but the one I see is 50 degrees, mostly cloudy, with only a 20% chance of rain. If it is gonna rain Saturday and Sunday, they could pretty easily move the game indoors. I am sure they can switch from basketball to hockey pretty quick. Probably do it all the time. Hopefully that won't happen.

Bisides football (which fans from both schools can obviously agree NDSU has the advantage) name one thing that NDSU excels in over UND...athletics, academics, facilities.....anything?!!!!

It would have been better if they moved the rink closer to home plate. I doubt they are going to sell many outfield general admission tickets. Moving it closer would make it much better for the people that sit in the lower bowl, especially towards the bottom. This view isn't bad...but upper deck is the way to go. If you go to ticketmaster and pic your seat, you can see that most of the upper deck is sold out. Sure you are higher up, but you will have a much better view of the ice.
