  1. I really hope both our teams win tonight. Would be fun to talk some smack with ya!! That being said, I think most of us Sioux fans on here appreciate a fan from a rival school that isn't here just here to cause controversy and get everyone all riled up.(Bison fans) You actually bring up thoughtful conversation and good topics. Stay classy WILDCAT!!
  2. Huff reminds me a little of Nate Wolters. Noth guys are extremely talented and want the ball all the time. They both have a knack for scoring. But one of the biggest difference which makes Wolters elite is that when he gets double and even triple teams, he will find the open man for a wide open shot. Seems like Huff gets the ball and only sees the rim and blocks everything else out. If he became a better passer, he would be the be a far better player. POY candidate for sure. Jones and the rest of the coaches need to address this. Its been 3 years and it's still an issue!
  3. Big Sky Tourney is gonna be shown online. http://bigskyconf.com/sports/2013/3/11/MBB_0311133504.aspx?id=874&

  5. 3 wins. That's all we need. Should be able to get past S. Utah. We played awful last Saturday vs. Southern Utah and we still beat them. Play a decent game and we move on easily. The road to title town does thru Weber and Montana. If we play like we did Saturday we will get blown out of the gym. Need to play our best games of the year. Hopefully we will have everyone back. Definitely missed Anderson at the point Saturday. Huff needs to get more involved in the game and make better decisions. Can't just drive the lane every time. Schuler is back and he will play a huge role this weekend. Its gonna come down to other players besides Schuler, Huff, and Anderson making all the plays if we expect to play on Saturday for the title. This team has peaked the last 2 years at tournament time. Lets do it again!!
  6. Summit Tourney started this past weekend and ends Tuesday. Also, wasn't there a rumor out there that once all the basketball was done in SD that they were going to bring up their HD equipment for the first round playoff series in GF? Anyone else have more information about that? Would be sweet to see Hammer and Kobber in HD!!
  7. Way to have confidence in your team!! Wow!! Bandwagon fans are annoying and I can't stand them. You can be positive and realistic at the same time. Is this team capable of winning 9 straight games to win a National Championship...of course!! But is it realistic to say they will lose in the semi's to a rested Minnesota or St. Cloud team to...sure!! Yes we had a chance to get 8 points the last two weekends to win the MacNaughton. We only got 5. Does that make us a bad team? No. I think that having the WCHA championship within grasp and not getting it is going to give our players more desire and drive to succeed. So I guess you can let us know when the team is doing good enough for you and you can jump back with us as being a true fan. Until then, you can just stay and the bandwagon stop waiting for that wagon to pick you up!
  8. I do like the idea of just using the NCHC text part of the logo as the patch on the jerseys. Letting teams use their own school colors like the Big Sky and Big10 does is also a great idea as well. Hopefully Jim Sherr checks out SS.com!! Nice work as always soutpaw for mocking up potential jerseys!!
  9. Given all the "Mac's" on this team....winning the MACNaughton Cup would be fitting this year!!
  10. I apologize for the unfortunate typo. No intent for disrespect. Mankato is currently 8th in the pairwise. They are definitely in the running to make the tournament. Moy's latest bracketology has them in. http://www.uscho.com/bracketology/
  11. Future BTHC conference championship trophy. What does everyone think?
  12. I see Mankato being the cream of the crop in the new WCHA. They are definitely entering on a high note. They will be one of the favorites to win the McNaughton next year for sure. As much as Mankato fans/players/etc. are kind up bummed about the WCHA breaking up, they should be excited for the potential of being a powerhouse in the league for years to come.
  13. Class act. Can't think of a UND player in the past 20 years that deserves the Hobey more than Knight.
  14. SO I wonder what they will do if the league expands? I wonder if they will add starts to the logo. If that is the case, you could make the stars smaller and then add more above the NCHC writing like you have. Or do you just leave it how it is and recognize the original 8 that started the conference. Will be interesting to see what they do.
  15. That was about the only thing holding him back from being a legit chance of winning the Hobey. Character is a huge factor in deciding the winner when it gets down to 3. Being found guilty to a misdemeanor charge involving alcohol and minors would have definitely made it very difficult for Corbin to win the Hobey. Now, its a really good chance!! Knight for Hobey!!
  16. Looking at the countdown clock on the website, 225 days from today is October 18th. Tentative schedule has UND at Miami that day. Wondering if the entire league starts that day? With all 8 teams playing each other. I hope that is the case.
  17. I think they chose the colors for a reason. The red white and blue with the site stars is meant to symbolize this conference truly is national. The best in the nation. Like I said before, keeping the colors with Red White and blue on the jersey will make this league stand out from others. Denver has the old stars and stripes on their jersey and it looks just fine. Maybe someone can mock up a current jersey (white, back and green) to see what it would look like. I think it will end up looking better than most think.
  18. Ruby Tuesdays has an AWESOME breakfast buffet on Sundays. I think its like 12 bucks, but they have their salad bar open as well as eggs, sausage, bacon, eggs benedict, made to order omelets meatballs, prime rib, and even a smoothie bar!! I think it may be the only place with a breakfast buffet in Grand forks. Definitely worth it if you are staying through Sunday! Ruby Tuesdays is on 32nd Ave right by the IHop near the !29 exit.
  19. I am sure if you ask they guys on the team which trophy they would rather hoist above their heads, my guess is 100% would be the trophy they award in April, not any of the ones in March!! The McNaughton is a good perk, but I think the team is focused on one goal, and one particular trophy!!
  20. The new NCHC logo is great. The red, white, and blue shield gives it the "National" feel. Anyone else notice the 8 stars?!! great way to recognize the 8 teams that will start this league!! The color makes it great. Unlike an other conference logo in college hockey. Well done!
  21. If there was a way to combine WCHA Final Five priority and CCHA tournament proiroty together to ensure that fans of ALL teams were given priority, that would be ideal. If you are a Miami fan who sat at the red line at the Joe for the CCHA tournament, you should be given the same priority of a Sioux fan that had seats at the red line. Not sure how easy that is going to be, but hopefully the NCHC will try.
  22. Here's a question the WCHA people in charge of the ticketing list need to ask themselves. How many NCHC fans are going to attend future Final 5 games if they assist the Target Center and maintain the seat priority of loyal cystomers they have had for 10+ years? How many NCHC fans are they going to to get to attend future Final 5 games if they screw them over by not assisting the Target Center with seating priority? Not sure why the grudge is all towards the NCHC and not the Big 10. Sure, more teams are going to the NCHC than the BIG 10, but you can directly point to the Big 10 for the breakup of the WCHA. There is no denying it. Their initial actions forming the BTHC led to the destruction of the WCHA as we know it.
