I am sure it wasn't just a coincidence that UND and Denver only play 2 games next year. Everything done for a reason. Your theory might be right.

UNO was the only "rival" that would work for UND. You are obviously going to put the Denver schools together. And Miami and Western Mich is a no brainer as well. With the schools left, I suppose they figured they would keep the Minnesota schools together. So that leaves us UNO. After traveling to Omaha 2 weeks ago, it is a pretty good road trip. I think it will be a good rival. I would hope they are going to balance the schedul out so we would rotate evenly the teams we don't play twice. Which would mean the next time we don't play Denver twice would be in 2016-2017. And the series will probably be in GF. If they do it right, the next time we don't see Denver in GF would not be till the 2019-2020 season. I like the fact that the league allowed for several OOC games. Gives a chance to play Minnesota, Wisconsin, and another local Minnesota school like Bemidgi or Mankato. It sucks not playing the Gophers and Badgers twice every year at home. But it is not like we will never see them again at the Ralph.

Our remaining conference schedule is: @ Portland St. @ Eastern Washington Southern Utah at home If we win 2 of those games, we are in the conference tournament for sure. ! and we may still get in based on what everyone else does. Considering that 2 of the games are against bottom feeders, I am liking our chances. Of course anything can happen. Our road play has deffinitely improves drastically this year. Lets just win out the regular season and stay hot into the tourney.

With all the scheduling issues that both schools have had with teams backing out (especially NDSU) you would think that Faison and GT would both benefit from scheduling each other every other year. There is ZERO chance that either school would ever back out. Don't you think it would be nice to have a guaranteed OOC team on the schedule that you know is not going to back out? I guess maybe that's to easy!

Wait...what??? The Alerus Center is not packed to capacity for UND football games?!! This is all new information to us!!! Thanks for informing us of something that we already know. Do you ever get tired of talking smack on a Sioux sports message board and having people hate you all the time and despising every comment you make? I am all for fans of other teams coming on here for a good debate. But making the same smack talk statements get a bit old. Don't you think?

Bottm line is Bruce Mcleod is going to have to make a decision after the first Final 5 in Minneapolis draws an average of 2000 people a game. Renting the X is not cheap and he will find out very quickly that the X simply is too expensive and not the right venue for the Final 5. There are plenty of other venues in Wisconsin, like in Milwaukee and Green Bay that host hockey games on a regular basis that would be not only smaller venues to create a better atmosphere, but will be geographically better for the majority of WCHA schools.

If NDSU were in the same bind and only had 5 home games and had a chance to buy out of a game to pay someone to come play in Fargo, GT would do it in a heartbeat. MSU was in a bind and this was their best option. IF GT wants to hold a grudge against them, that's his decision. But it is just part of being in FCS football.

Based on how long GT and the NDSU athletic department holds grudges, They will likely not play Montana State ever again!!

They better hope Mankato and Bemidji both make it!!

What about the Resch Center in Green Bay for a future WCHA Final? Probably the most central location for WCHA teams. Capacity is 8709 which is about the attendance they are going to get starting next year. I think that having it in the X maybe just once, Mcleod will see that they need to downsize. Grand Rapids is a good option, but Having it in Milwaukee will make it better for attendance for the Minnesota schools and the UP Michigan schools especially.

If Faison keeps sending down contracts to GT to play a football game, and GT keeps rejecting it, who comes out looking worse? I realize that NDSU doesn't need to prove anything to UND and doesn't owe them anything either. But what does that say to your players/fans/etc. when you refuse to play a team because of something that happened 10 years ago?!! What is the worst that could happen....NDSU loses to UND?? If the Bison are such a superior team and program, than losing to UND will never happen. The FACT that Faison doesn not want to schedule UND is because if they did lose the game, it would crush his precious ego. As long as GT is around, this game will not be played. Just sad that GT can man up and get over the past.

Maybe you should take the course instead!! By saying that "UND might cancel the series leaving NDSU scrambling to find a game. Nothing in UND's track record convinces me otherwise", you are saying that UND may cancel the series and that their track record shows that. All we are asking you to do is provide examples from that track record that would leave you to believe that. If Faison sent up a contract to play, and GT signed it, there is a 100% chance that UND would not back out of this game.
