That is called a good day! I remember a couple of summer days where we went to Bonzers for lunch and the next thing you know if was supper time.
-
I remember only 1 day of school being cancelled between 85-89 after a blizzard with large snowfall. You couldn't drive anywhere in a vehicle because it took awhile to open the roads. Didn't have cell phones back then, but a few phone calls later and our house(ATO) and the Beta's decided to have a party at their house. We had some kegs and they had a few laying around as well. We had 3-4 snowmobiles and spent the next couple hours gathering up girls from the sororities and dorms and had a pretty decent party.

Solid effort by you given the context but I think #1 has been locked up for the month. Besides, the award is already named after you so let your buddy take the honors.

While it is true that it is unhealthy to rely on one benefactor the rest of your statement is ridiculous. To say nothing else matters to the Engelstad Family is probably the dumbest thing that will be posted on this website in 2019....well for the month of January anyway. Donations to 100's of different groups, charities, causes, and organizations in the millions and millions of dollars. http://engelstadfoundation.com/esf/past-donations/

UND (2-5, 8-12) vs USD (2-4, 8-11) 1/23 7 PM

This game and effort so far is putrid. -
Just saw the score...so the UND women's basketball team just lost to a dumpster fire.
-
Correct and the protocol for a review at the time was not followed.

True. I was referring to this https://www.apnews.com/4075df4f277db80044e29e95543482a3 I believe D2 was at 37 scholarships back then and I remember hearing and/or reading that UNA had the equivalent of 80+ with what they were pulling in their financial aid office/athletic department. Just remember those years as UND had finally turned the corner and beat NDSU and had teams capable of winning the national title in 93 and 94 and we had the kitty litter/rainstorm game at IUP with an open turf field 20 minutes away against IUP in the semi finals and then the next year we get beat by UNA in the semi finals who had about 40 extra scholarship players....
-
No one cheated in D2 better than North Alabama. They are FCS now and probably don't have as much money tied up in Scholarships now as they did from 93-95
-
Even without Jost I said last years team was capable at making a run in the NCAA tournament as they were as capable of beating anyone in the country 2-1 as they were capable of losing to anyone in the country 2-1. We played UMD in a game at the Excel Energy Center that both teams believed 100% they had to win to have any chance to make the NCAA tournament and handled them fairly easily....we all know what happened next. As far as 2019, we seem to not look out of place when we play teams that try and beat us and attempt to create their own chances and we struggle against teams that pack it in and play not to lose and hope we make mistakes or they get a bounce of the puck.
-
He does seem to be doing something right. It's not the 80's anymore when I knew guys playing at small colleges and junior colleges who were juicing.
-
I don't see how pointing out the facts is degrading anything. It is what it is and I am fine with and want us to be competitive at the FCS level of football.
-
Could NDSU beat some FBS teams? Yes. But, again, at the end of the day, NDSU and UND and the rest of the teams in the FCS are playing for 131st place.
-
Should have left it for the players to see..."you are being mocked and ridiculed by fucking Canisius"

Agree. It probably started with the Holy Cross win over Minnesota as that seemed to be the start of every tournament game becoming a crap shoot and #4 seeds winning and last teams in the tournament winning national titles on more than 1 occasion. With the NCHC winning the last 3 titles it has maybe clouded our view of the landscape change but even given that it has changed. So how have Hockey's Blue Bloods been faring over the last 4-5 seasons(current season plus previous 4) Wisconsin--.396 winning percentage Minnesota-.573 Michigan-.574 BC-.604 UND-.651(1 title) BU-.666 DU-.696(1 title)

Much of this was documented and seemingly verified by the actions they took after they fired Hextall.
-
I think those in the NHL know Hakstol is a very good coach and was never really given a full chance in Philly due to Hextall's micromanaging, meddling, and spying and now is caught in a perfect storm where Quennville is available and Dave Scott(Comcast CEO who knows zero about hockey) wants a big name splash even though Quennville is a great coach but a terrible fit for Philly.

Just drive them about half way between I-29 and the NDSU campus and roll the windows down and then make sure not to take the HWY 2 exit when you get to GF.
