I think alot happened today...at least 3-4 teams were effectively eliminated from consideration today

The FCS playoff picture is like an etch a Sketch right now and UND seems to be trying to do everything they can to not be in the picture.

Truthfully? It is because our new logo in a word, sucks.

Why hasn't the Administration made every team use the North Dakota word script to follow the lead of our premier sports program? Hockey has 2 Hawk logos on jerseys, football has 1 and 1 on helmet. Most schools, especially in hockey do not use their mascot or team name on their primary jerseys...maybe it is as simple as that? Why doesn't Duke have their mascot logo on their jerseys and helmets? Maryland? North Carolina? Minnesota? Wisconsin?

Not to pile on special teams but with Santiago out are we even trying to set up a punt return. We returned 1 punt out of 7 and I am alright with that but then why not put 2 guys back to fair catch the damn ball...especially late in the game? The last 2 or 3 punts they had included 30-35 yards of roll from failing to catch the ball in the air.

This is what should have been done last year and I am assuming our Athletic Director at the time, if he was doing his job had a discussion with Bubba about shaking up the staff and Bubba chose to remain loyal to "his" guys......well now what? If that discussion didn't take place which would be a failure by Faison then I guess it is up to Chaves now but I wouldn't recommend a shake up of staff, I would demand it. I know everyone talks about the lack of money but I guarantee there are up and coming great minds in college football who are 24-30 years old and just looking for a shot. At the FCS level the reality is assistant coaches should be using UND to get better jobs and opportunities not looking at UND as a permanent stop. I would hope every assistant coach on our staff has aspirations of becoming a head coach and moving up the ranks from position coach to coordinator positions. As far as the playoffs go. From our local perspective and at first glance, does UND "deserve" a playoff spot? Probably not. But taking a closer look at FCS football maybe tells a little different story. Who are the playoff "eligible" teams left? How deserving are they?

UND isn't alone in this. Pretty much every school does this.

Sure they should renegotiate the terms of the arrangement but we do not want the University or any state run agency running the arena.

We should all hope this never happens.

I am guessing your first statement is the key. Many UND fans can afford the trip but it is the alum who can REALLY afford it that I am assuming had some scheduled time and meetings with the higher ups in our alumni office and administration to discuss possible donations, scholarships, endowments, etc.....if not, then they are doing it wrong.

Even with NDSU Bison fans I have always said it's the few rotten thousands that spoil if for the other 10.

I think if you asked him nice, maybe GFHockey would take you under his wing and really show you Vegas!

A little over 5k

The only positive I took away from last night was late in the 3rd period when they put B 17944 up on the board for the 50/50 raffle.

FGCU does have not 1 but 2 Club Hockey teams. They are poised to move to D1 hockey when the time is right as they have ruled out adding football.

Is that a quarter?

Siouxforever? Not me. I accepted that when Stenhjem screwed the pooch on the lawsuit. I am Pro UND forever. I am fine with the fact we chose a bland, generic nickname just not how we chose to get there. If you look back I was critical of the complete clusterf*ck of a process we used for picking a name and eventually the logo we are stuck with for the time being. The fact that we chose a $20 logo to represent the school should offend and embarrass everyone. Like I said before, if one of our artists forwarded me that logo for a 6th grade travel basketball teams uniforms I would not even have forwarded it on to my customer and would have told my artist they didn't like it, try again.

The difference is, UND fans for the most part realize and accept the fact that in football we are playing for 131st place at the end of the day.
