He does seem to be doing something right. It's not the 80's anymore when I knew guys playing at small colleges and junior colleges who were juicing.
-
I don't see how pointing out the facts is degrading anything. It is what it is and I am fine with and want us to be competitive at the FCS level of football.
-
Could NDSU beat some FBS teams? Yes. But, again, at the end of the day, NDSU and UND and the rest of the teams in the FCS are playing for 131st place.
-
Should have left it for the players to see..."you are being mocked and ridiculed by fucking Canisius"

Agree. It probably started with the Holy Cross win over Minnesota as that seemed to be the start of every tournament game becoming a crap shoot and #4 seeds winning and last teams in the tournament winning national titles on more than 1 occasion. With the NCHC winning the last 3 titles it has maybe clouded our view of the landscape change but even given that it has changed. So how have Hockey's Blue Bloods been faring over the last 4-5 seasons(current season plus previous 4) Wisconsin--.396 winning percentage Minnesota-.573 Michigan-.574 BC-.604 UND-.651(1 title) BU-.666 DU-.696(1 title)

Much of this was documented and seemingly verified by the actions they took after they fired Hextall.
-
I think those in the NHL know Hakstol is a very good coach and was never really given a full chance in Philly due to Hextall's micromanaging, meddling, and spying and now is caught in a perfect storm where Quennville is available and Dave Scott(Comcast CEO who knows zero about hockey) wants a big name splash even though Quennville is a great coach but a terrible fit for Philly.

Just drive them about half way between I-29 and the NDSU campus and roll the windows down and then make sure not to take the HWY 2 exit when you get to GF.
-
Almost every mid major team in the country has 1-3 games like this. UNI almost lost to Dubuque University the other night. Took some friendly officiating in the 2nd half to pull it out. (26 fouls to 10, 37 free throws to 9)

^^^^^^ I am not the one who posted the above.

No question that Football is more popular sport in NCAA and America. Some people don't like hockey, some people do. Some people like both hockey and football.......but to compare the level of play of FCS football vs. NCAA hockey is a quick way to lose all credibility in discussing sports.

I am not a big Brian Jones fan and as has been pointed out in this thread Faison dropped the ball on his contract situation and for now it is what it is. As far as winning the Summit, are you saying as long as we win the Summit once every 9 years you are good with that or are the other 8 programs all looking to fire their coaches every year they don't win the league as well?

Ha. Unless they are providing comedic content on a daily or evenly several times a day like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez....that is pure comedy gold. Sometimes the best humor as in the tweet above is unintentional humor.

Saw this on Twitter....just so desperate to be big time. Sad and funny at the same time.

It wasn't an issue of NDSU taking recruits "from" Brewster since he didn't recruit them as he as busy trying to pull 4 and 5 stars from Texas. There were a few players at NDSU who should have had full rides to Minnesota offered and many others who could have easily played for his Minnesota teams. If Brewster doesn't have a ring or two from NDSU it is at worst criminal and at the very least not very neighborly like. Still can't believe Brewster blocked me on twitter.
-
One can not overlook one of the biggest factors in NDSU's success. If NDSU didn't give Brewster at least 2 rings it is criminal on their part.
-
Not with Gene Taylor at K State. Have heard him and Craig aren't exactly friendly anymore.
-
Bohl didn't handle things as well as Klieman. The thing that created hard feelings when Bohl left was he and his coaching staff tried to flip some recruits to Wyoming while the rest of the Bison staff was trying to keep their recruits committed...don't think that will be a factor this time as NDSU and K-State are not competing for the same type of athlete.
